Customer service is absolutely no help. We had people come in our trailer park put in lines and mess up our internet. And now it takes 2 days for them to come out and fix it when they are right down the road. I would give them negative numbers if possible.

If you plan on paying for “No Data Caps” don’t plan on there actually being no data caps (It caps at/near 1.5TB, after you reach that threshold they downgrade your speeds to 25MB/s download speeds). This company is a joke. If only there were more internet providers in the area no one would use this provider. I left an image down below where they hide this information in the Terms of Service but when you sign up for their internet you see in big BOLD letters stating “unlimited data”. WOW sucks entirely.

The worst internet company. I’ve “upgraded” twice and my speeds got slower both times and my bill is now double. Cuts in and out every single day now. Never used to do this. I’m canceling service

I wish I lived in an area that offered more than 2 internet companies. I would cancel my wow subscription immediately. Almost never get the speeds I pay for. If there is any rain, wind, snow, pretty much anything other than a sunny clear day… there is an internet outrage. I would not recommend wow to anyone that has a choice. Only reason I keep them is because the other company in my town only offers 8 mb internet.

and I thought Comcast was bad. You haven't used internet until you've dealt with WOW. Worthless thieves. Had to have people at my house over and over, and it still doesn't work right. cant even get cable. Also their customer service base is about the most incompetent people on this planet. I don't know how this company is still around.

The most unreliable internet connection ever

I have had Wow internet since moving to south lyon with my former fiance one year ago. Recently, I have had issues with internet connectivity shorting out unexpectedly. I was without internet for approximately 3 weeks due to what the service provider described as moved wires on the outside box. When the internet is functioning it seems to be working properly.

When I moved to my new apartment I was told that they would send me a box and shipping label to return the old modem as we upgraded to faster speeds requiring a new one. We'll it never came so I contacted support and they said that they'd send another one. Well neither box has showed up and I'm being charged a $200+ fee for not returning it. I ended up getting my own box and driving all the way out to a drop off center. And on top of that the internet connection is shoddy at best, constant issues with the wifi not working and were not the only ones in the building that have issues. The only reason I still use wow is because they're the only provider in our building.

The drop box for equipment isn't big enough to return equipment safely wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a box. I had to take equipment out of box and try to safely slide bubble wrapped equipment into return box. Not an easy feat either. Also no way to know when or if it is picked up in a timely manner. It would be nice if you could hand it over to an employee but looks like it has been ages since anyone has walked through either of those locked doors in front of building assessable to the public. Just sharing my experience and thank you for listening.

I am a Senior that wanted to get Internet. This Company quoted me a price that they did not honor. The Internet didn’t work so they sent a person out to hook it up. I was on the phone with Wow for an hour trying to get an answer for why I received a bill for an amount I was not quoted. I never got an answer. Then the service didn’t work after they troubleshooted for over an hour. Then they said we are sending a Tech out. When he arrived I told him that I didn’t want the service and please take the equipment. His response was he wasn’t taking it and be responsible for the equipment. I was appalled because Wow told me that if I bought my own equipment they would pick up their equipment. I received a box in the mail to return the equipment which I packed up promptly and took to FedEx. I took a picture of the box and saved the receipt because I didn’t trust this company. Yesterday I received a bill for unreturned equipment. All the equipment was returned and this is dishonesty to the maximum degree. This Company is deceptive and fraudulent. All the stress they have given me is unforgivable and unbelievable considering I never used their equipment or had their service hooked up. Don’t even think about using them. I am going to let everyone know that lives in my complex to not consider using them. In the meantime I am going to have to pursue legal means for this.I added photos to show that I did send the equipment back. Such dishonesty is difficult to comprehend!

There is a special place for businesses that operate like this. Got a collection notice almost 3 years after ending my service with wow. Here's the best part, they said I wouldn't have to pay the disconnection fee if they couldn't service my next address. They couldn't, so that was the end of that after my last bill right? NOPE not only did they still somehow manage to bill me 3 additional months without ever sending it to my new address but they also still charged me a 600! Dollar disconnect fee. Now I have a 1300 dollar collection and they're pretending like they never said or did any of that. This company is so bad, and the customer service was Russian roulette. Sometimes good, most of the time bad.

My experience with WOW over the last 2.5 years has been awful. That is putting it nicely. The first year of service they didn't have my account setup correctly. So, I had the best Internet ever. Then out of nowhere they turned off my service off, deleted my account, like I never existed. I then started experiencing outage issues. This last one takes the cake and I will be changing service providers! I have been without internet for 4 days, due to an outage in my area that's what they kept telling me. Now I have to wait until next Wednesday before a technician can come out and look at what's going on. I work from home so this is affecting my ability to work. I would NEVER recommend WOW to anyone! I would recommend them buying a hotspot before signing up with WOW! They don't even deserve one star.

I just spent 35 minutes on a chat fighting to get a credit on my account because I was without internet service after the storm went through mid-Michigan on August 24. My internet was restored on September 6. I finally was able to fight my way to an 11 day credit, then was disconnected from the chat. WOW knows they didn't have service and if this was a reputable company, they would be adjusting the customers invoices and we shouldn't need to take the time out of our schedules to fight with WOW to get what is owed to us.

They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Every agent you talk to will tell you something completely different than the last agent. Your bill will slowly increase over time, and they will tack on random fees. I've never had a monthly modem rental fee, now randomly I do. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I have also now been either hung up on or disconnected from the chat before the agent has finished helping me.
