I've been coming to this park since I was a child and my father has been coming to this park since he was a child. It has been the backdrop of many family memories. There is a swimming area and a shallow stream area. There are two main areas of the park. A large side with the bath house, front office/store, and a majority of the camper/tent plots. There is also a smaller group of plots on the opposite side of the camp (there is a road but also trails that lead from one side to the other. There is also a bridge that leads over the stream to bear island. There are a few primitive plots on the island for tent campers. The camp has a communal space between the bathhouse and office/store where they sometimes have live music. We got to enjoy some music and some lovely wooden bench swings during Labor Day weekend. The lake and the stars are beautiful here, and we have thoroughly enjoyed camping here. That said, it seems like they are in the process of improving some of the older amenities, as the showers were a little worse for wear during our stay, but the restrooms seemed fine for a camp of this age.
Playground: There is a playground on each side of the park with some swings and slides.
Toilets: There is a bath house on the main side of the campgrounds with toilets, sinks, and showers. All other restrooms at the park are outhouses with varying degrees of cleanliness.
Dog-friendliness: This park/camp is dog friendly. There is a dog specific fenced-in area, but dogs are allowed in most areas except for the beach/ swimming area. This is clearly marked with a sign.
Picnic area: There are many picnic areas, almost every camp spot has a picnic table or is close to a picnic table area. There is also a medium-sized covered picnic table area by the water on the smaller side of the park that is available for rent for larger groups/small events. There is also a small picnic/sitting/communal area by the new front office that is in the park right by the bath house.

My family has enjoyed coming here for years in fact it's one of our favorite places to camp.this year we camped here several times and have noticed that the seasonal campers have taken over the park! Making it very difficult for families like us to camp for a weekend! If you look around there are soooo many people who have set up car ports and decks, patio sets. The seasonal campers are now harassing families who are there for a few days making it so miserable they no longer want to come back and I'm sad to say we are one of them! I hope this situation gets handled soon!

Nice smaller lake. Very quiet and secluded. We just went to the day use area.
Playground: Swings, sand to play in, and a Merry-go- round, monkey bars and a slide. Need bug spray!
Toilets: Two Porta John's. One normal one handicap accessible.
Picnic area: Nice shelter with lots of tables and several good sized grills.

We have only visited for the day. My son loves to fish and has caught quite a few. The okay equipment is very old but I'm good condition. The bridge to bear Island is very picturesque.

Park was great and well maintained. They seem to be between owners at the moment though. Store / Office never open, no firewood for sale on site but found a local selling some roadside a few miles away. The primitive side was very peaceful.

Dog-friendliness: Buddy loves ❤️ it. I think his favorite thing to do is go for golf cart rides.

We didn't stay, parked and walked through the park (recon). It was beautiful, the spots on the island seemed so perfect. Planning for 2024

Wonderful camping experience! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well kept. The other campers were extremely friendly and welcoming. The lake is nice with a nice swim area. There are kayaks available. Large sites have well maintained tables and fire rings. The camp store is AWESOME!!! Prices are very reasonable. I look forward to vacationing here again!
