They were able to fill a rare prescription because my usual compounding pharmacy was out of the med. However, they charged me triple. That's 3× what's the usual price. And when I got home I was putting away my medicine, accidentally dropped it, and since it was a liquid and contained in a GLASS vial of all things, it shattered and I never even was able to use it. This wasn't their fault but mine, however, nothing like this has ever happened in the 10+ yrs, and they are not very accommodating. So, between the extreme 3× cost and their inability to be of any help whatsoever.... leaves me to peg them at a 3*

I thought a pharmacy, especially a small local one would really take pride in how they represent themselves and a business. When I call ahead the week before, day before and arrive the morning of when my medication should be refilled I am treated with the most unprofessional mannerism, the lady could care less if I get my prescription. I get the run around, the excuses, the disrespect is unbelievable. Most recently they stated they couldn't get the correct dosage of my medication, they called me at 4:50pm the day before my script was ready to fill, when I called to confirm 3 days prior. I understand things happen and come up, it would just be truly nice to not feel like such an inconvenience, when I am the one whose being inconvenienced.

Kind and courteous staff, who are knowledgeable in the specific type of pharmacy that is medical compounds. They don't lose a star in my book for this, only a suggestion. Having a 2nd location in Kalamazoo on the Northside of town would decrease the time it takes me to make a trip to the pharmacy by more than half. 40 minutes to 15 minutes....

Beware! If you are getting a compounded pain block from here there is a shelf life! They don't mention it but my surgery was put off a month because I was diagnosed with covid. I am now having surgery on Jan 31st and the surgeon just told me that my prescription is EXPIRED! I paid over $300 for this pain block that insurance does not cover. The Center for Pharmaceutical Compounding offered me a 10% discount to buy it again. I'm flabbergasted and will unfortunately be in a lot more pain after surgery.

I just found a GREAT Pharmacy!! I've been a migraine sufferer for 52 years and have been taking MIDRIN for 44 years. MIDRIN is no longer being manufactured....I called all the pharmacies in the area and all said the same story..."its no longer available and there's nothing more we can do"....but not PORTAGE PHARMACY! They said they'll make a compounded capsule with 2 of the 3 ingredients and the third being Tylenol. So, all I need to do is have my Dr. to prescribe it as such, they would make it! WOW!!! What a relief!!! Micki was awesome!! They live by their mission which says they are "innovators"...and refuse to allow the phrase “There is nothing more we can do”. I love it!!! Thank you Micki!!

I cannot recommend using the Portage Pharmacy, unless you like calling on a daily basis to follow up on prescriptions. It has taken nearly a month to get a prescription refilled correctly. I submitted 2 prescription refill requests in late September, and one has been filled and shipped TWICE, the other is just being filled almost a month later. It would still be pending has I not started making daily phone calls.

Terrible. Staff acts nice to your face but gossip and talk poorly about people behind their back. Especially one woman; brown short hair. Unprofessional. Will not shop here if she works there. Awful. If you want to keep your privacy go somewhere else!
