I had so many good experiences with this location in the past. Since the nurse practitioner I was seeing left, it has been downhill. I wasted over $600 (ultrasound and ENT) because a Bronson Rheumatologist (Dr. Jennifer Knip) mistook my carotid artery for a swollen lymph node (at least the ENT understood anatomy). The doctor I was seeing here didn't catch her mistake either. I had neck scans and saw an ENT. I let that go. It was a mistake that shouldn't have happened, but not malicious.
I come in to see a Physician's Assistant (Stacy Thompson) here for a standard preventative visit, and she asks me if I have any concerns. No, I told her, just here for a preventative visit (which my insurance covers). She begins reading my file and asking me questions, for clarification and asking if I completed my referral (from a previous doctor), even though everything she needs is in my file. Tells me I have constipation. I've had constipation my whole life, but it was better due to the steps I've taken. I just needed to go after the appointment was done, which I did. She insisted I have constipation. I get charged for "addressing" ALL my prior diagnoses and referrals (none of which she gave) because they charged me for a preventative visit and office visit. After months of trying to figure out why I had a bill, it came down to her reiterating my previous notes from other doctors in her appointment notes. So, I learned if a doctor starts asking you questions about your prior appointments after you've said you're only here for a preventative visit, shut them down. Say, I do not consent to discussing these matters with you today. I would like to keep the appointment on track. Sad, I have to be so harsh with a doctor (or Physician's Assistant) who is supposed to be helping me, not sending me into unnecessary debt. Maybe, don't cause your patients to be charged over $100 because you didn't read their file before seeing them and ignored them saying they had no concerns. This was supposed to be one of the easiest appointments I've had in a while, but no. I got a surprise bill. Double billed for appointments. Lab also submitted for a double bill. My insurance denied it since it was a duplicate claim. I am hoping that was just a mistake. To make it worse, the last time I contacted billing, the analyst talked down to me and said, the office manager of this location should have charged me for a third type of appointment. For what? Reading my file in front of me? It felt like she was telling me to drop it or pay more, which I know isn't legal. Normally, I don't leave bad reviews for doctors. I move on, but I am utterly frustrated that I brought up no concerns, and the PA wanted clarification that was readily available in my notes (hence why she noted EXACT dates from prior appointments) only for the PA to double down and refuse to correct the visit summary. If you're going to overcharge your patients with such slimy tactics, please consider a career path outside of Healthcare. The office manager called this experience a "lesson" for everyone since I now know not to trust doctors, PAs, etc. and shut down their questions. However, their lesson cost me $130.
My family of 4 will be finding a different office for our primary care. You got $130 today, but you will no longer get a dime from my pocket or my insurance company's pocket. I would be done with Bronson completely if our daughter did not have such a wonderful doctor at another Bronson location.

Took me nearly a year to book an appointment after covid. Would get close to my appointment and they would call for one reason or another to reschedule. When I FINALLY made it into the office the Dr seemed very educated about my arthritis as I'm an older female. The main reason for the appointment was to deal with pain issues. I know I can no longer manage my pain with prescriptions that I was able to manage my pain with very well 10 yrs ago, but the ones that helped post opioid epidemic were better than nothing. It's now been over 24 hrs and nothing has been sent to my pharmacy. The real kicker is about 7 months ago I had made a appointment with a doctor at a different Bronson office. THEY called ME and asked me if I wanted to book back with them! 7 months of suffering and over 24hrs after my appointment (not counting 2 phone calls) and still nothing sent to the pharmacy. What ever happened to having a physical prescription in hand when you left the office?! This system is terribl!

I had an appointment, with Dr. H. on Nov. 22, 2023. Jennifer McGreger (office manager) sent me a message saying my appointment wasn't an emergency, so they were canceling it.
I had a headache, cough, chills, fever,(101 degrees) throwing- up, dry heaves, difficulty breathing, tight chest, lost my sense of smell.
Tested positive for covid.
My doctor's office didn't care.

I find the staff to be extremely helpful, the nurse calls back quickly & best of all , Dr. Hina is a brilliant physician who has diagnosed a condition other doctors missed for decades, Dr. Hina listens, she has been 100% correct in diagnosises and she is kind & compassionate. Highly educated physicians, Bronson doctor, she is the best and I have rare conditions, she goes above and beyond her call of duty to help me, she has saved my life more then once with her quick thinking, getting tests, I highly recommend Dr. Hina and Portage Family Medicine. I do not believe the other negative comments I go there pretty often, I chose the smartest physician in S.W. Michigan , in my opinion and I have seen many doctors & specialists here.

I dont know why everyone has to be so rude when it's patient care that should be the focus.

I really want to like this place but I continue to have scheduling issues. One time I sat and waited for an hour before they realized they forgot to check me in. This time I had an appointment scheduled and they are running half an hour behind. Doctor's care seems ok enough. Edit: Ive been waiting exactly an hour now

The most inept medical services possible. Yesterday, I called Dr. Ciesielski's office to get an appointment to get some antibiotics for my flu. Front desk clerk informed me that the office will call me back later, which they didn't. The next day, I called the office again and talked to the same clerk. He remembered me and after short 5 minutes search of his desk, he found the note about my call and informed me that he conveyed the message further (the next day). Then I talked to doctor's assistant, who informed me that I'm not their patient anymore because for several years i didn't do my annual medical checkup. I was informed that in order to get my flu medication, I would have to register at the front desk first and fulfill their requirements to become their patient again. I may add that I've been a patient of Dr. Smith, who later merged his practice with Bronson group since mid 80-ties. Also, my son who is on my insurance, received a proscription from Dr. Ciesielski last week and I contracted the same virus from him. My plies to get the same antibiotic fell on deaf, unfriendly and incompetent ears. This practice is definitely not patient friendly. I felt like an intruding customer.

It seems as if the patients are not valued. Had an apt on a Thursday. Scripts were never sent in had to wait an additional 4 days until finally call to pharmacy was made.

Dont bother even trying to call this office because they wont answer and even if they do they cant/wont help you. If Kalamazoo had more doctors with spots open I would be out of here.

Don’t go here for your mental health needs. I’ve had two separate staff members brush it off like it wasn’t real, meanwhile that’s not what my psychiatrist says. The third doctor I’ve seen told me that “I was fine and probably should’ve gone to work today” when I actually had c diff (very contagious). The rest of my family sees the stadium office and they like it there.

I was just told the doctor is no longer available on the day of my appointment July 9th with doctor Eisinger David (on vacation ) and they wanted to re-schedule me after two months. I asked to see any other doctor available in the coming two weeks but there was no understanding of this guy on the phone. I am having my doctor visit tomorrow in another hospital. I cannot judge the doctor, 1 star is for the attention to the patient needs
