Got there five minutes before closing on a Wednesday and doors were locked. Could clearly see employees inside, and they could see me knocking on the door. Just lazy and closed early. Disappointing. Be interested to see if the company replies to this review.Got a reply back. Actually, it was really a non reply. Impersonal auto reply. Expect basic personal customer service. Not what I got here.

The woman behind the counter sold me parts that were opened, and resealed. After bringing the parts to my mechanic he expressed that half of them were missing. And I have to go back and return them wasting gas and time.I will no longer be using auto value.

First, the clerk nearly kept my card. I had to remind her to return it. Second, I called yesterday to see if I was credited for a part returned and I am not sure I will be credited for it. Not good! (They tried to tell me to contact my credit union.) It's not likely I will shop there again.

Today I needed a mirror for my 2005 Pontiac Bonneville. I called Pep Boy's Store #2 in Portage, Mi. It was my lucky day! I spoke with Howard and even though he no longer could find a replacement, he helped me find it online. He also found the perfect size gas can for me. Howard was what every customer service person should strive to be. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and went beyond just answering the phone. So if you are a female and need some help with car stuff...Howard is the man you need to speak with. He will not laugh or belittle you for not knowing terms. He will help you until your problem is resolved.

Huge inside, clean wich is a big must when I shop (but who doesn't like that?) Very friendly staff but they are willing to go above and beyond to get you parts that you need, they'll have people who work at other stores bring parts that might be out of stock like what other store is willing to do that? Absolutely suggest to anyone!!
