Kim at the claim office is amazing. I called our local Auto-Owners office 15 minutes after my accident to inform them. By close of business that day Kim had sent a claim number and calle to set up an appointment for my car. It was handled so fast, which I was not expecting. She is so helpful and polite. We have been with Auto-Owners for many years and love them. Highly recommend if your looking for insurance on your home, auto, or life.

We had a bad blowout on our 5th wheel while traveling out of state and from that moment on Auto-Owners was right there to help in anyway they could. From my agent Terry Chilcote and Dawn to the claim representative, Tyler Blowers. All were patient, informative and very responsive when we needed help. Their level of service is very hard to find in our hectic world today.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I regret choosing Auto-Owners Insurance for my various policies. My recent experiences with them have been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others about the pitfalls of dealing with this company.
Let's start with their claims process, which is an absolute circus. After my car suffered damage from a pothole, my certified mechanic diagnosed a transmission issue directly caused by the incident. However, when Auto-Owners sent their appraiser, suddenly, they miraculously turned into transmission experts, claiming the damage wasn't related. I didn't realize their appraisers held PhDs in mechanical engineering! It's absurd and insulting to be treated as if I don't know what's happening with my own vehicle.
But wait, it gets worse. Last year, when hail damaged the siding on one side of my home, I thought I could count on Auto-Owners to come through. Instead, they delivered another round of disappointment. Despite the obvious need to replace the siding with the same color to maintain the aesthetics of my home, they insisted that because my original siding was discontinued and sun-damaged, I should just accept a different color. Are you kidding me? Do they think I want my house to look like a patchwork quilt of mismatched colors?
The sheer incompetence and lack of empathy displayed by Auto-Owners Insurance is mind-boggling. Dealing with them has been nothing short of a stress-inducing nightmare, and now I'm left with no choice but to start the arduous process of finding a new insurance provider for my home, auto, life, and business policies.
Save yourself the headache and avoid Auto-Owners Insurance at all costs. They're not worth the hassle or the frustration.

So, some fella backs into your car and takes off...but no worries when you have Auto Owners in your back pocket.Kim Carr contacted me with all of the details and explained how everything was going to work. She was continually touching base about what was happening. My rental car experience was just as wonderful, I even got the same car that I was having fixed!Not that I ever doubted Kim, but the amazing thing is that she did what she said she was going to do. Additionally thereisn't anything better than having a friendly, positive voice on the other end of the line!I now park far away from others, but I do know that if something happens I have the right insurance company!I appreciate your hard work Kim!Fondly, Krista

Call about 15 mins to close to add a car to the insurance just to be thrown to claims and be hung up on multiple times till they closed. Been with you guys for like 10 yrs, think about switching because the customer service has drastically gone down hill.
