Literally the worst costumer service on earth!! I would not recommend no one to open accounts with this bank i am a nursing student at Western Michigan University an was treated with no care with trying to cash a check during a tornado crisis was told to head to down town 1st source branch bank located in downtown Kalamazoo approach a lady at the desk named Mary told her my situation then I deposited $1000+ into my account just told me told after once I did that. That I could not withdraw any funds !! SO ASKED TO SPEAK TO BRANCH MANAGE JAMIE JUST TO GET PUT ON HOLD AN HUNG UP ON WITH NO CARED ABOUT MY CURRENT SITUATION BUT LET ANOTHER GUY WALK IN WITH NO PROBLEM AN CASH A CHECK RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME … in the mist of a city crisis very disappointing to see the staff as well as executive management could care less about the community it serves!!! STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM BANKING WITH 1st SOURCE BANK IF U CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY & CHILDREN.

This bank is really terrible. I had my minor son start a savings account here. He is 12 and a savings account is to hold funds for saving right. So bc his account sat "dormant" they charged him a $5 fee. A savings account is literally created to store money. This bank is worth 8 BILLION dollars yet they stole 5$ from a childs savings account. I went in and closed the account before they stole any more under the guise of a "fee". Staff had no intention of returning the money. I started this account to teach my son the importance of saving but he ended up learning a bigger lesson. Billion dollar banks make money stealing from the customers all the time. SHAME ON YOU FIRST SOURCE.

This makes me sad to even write this but I'm a current member at this bank and the portage location seems to be a bit racist in my opinion. The first time I step on I'm being looked at as if I'm going to rob the place and once I leave the employees all started hitting their car alarms to lock their doors and I was the ONLY customer there at the time so I found that really interesting. I love the bank but this branch needs to work on their customer service skills

I was paid by check from this bank so I brought it here to cash it and because I’m not a member here they charged me a fee. A fee that has no risk risk to them or an resources because they know if the check is good or bad immediately. I would never be a member at a bank that charges a fee to cash a check from their bank just because the person isn’t a member. I would be afraid of all the other fees they throw at people. What a SCAM!!!!!
