Horrible experience, extremely rude cashier, and an even ruder gm, he laughed in my face when I told him the cashier was rude to me. Also, went in the back to pick up my refrigerator, that was the floor model, and it was damaged. They then made me drive back to the front of the store to unload it when I told them they damaged it. Don't think im ever going back to that location. In my opinion, the gm on duty is to blame, he fosters an atmosphere of pompousity.

The GM at Menards in Port Huron is the absolute worst person I have ever encountered. I went to do a return on a item that I had ordered online with my special needs son who does not talk. My son got frustrated because the woman trying to do the return had no idea what she was doing so it was taking her forever. She kept telling me that she could not match the order number to the email in her computer. I asked her to call her manager up to the front to help her, and instead she called up another employee, by the name of Tatyana who was also rude and said they would not do a return without the receipt, I showed them the receipt and she kept telling me it was not the correct receipt. She said there's several emails you should have gotten. I showed her all the emails and it was the confirmation email receipt with my card numbers and confirmation number on it and that is what they told me they needed to do the return. I asked for a manager again in which the GM Mark came to the front of the store and my son had lost all of his patience at this point he looked at my son with complete disgust and jumped back from him, I told him that my son was special needs that he was so unprofessional for The way he was looking at my son and treating him like he was disgusting and that all I was trying to do was a return and I thought this would be much more simpler than they were making it. He told me that I'm not going to stand here and demand a return from the GM, he said you were going to leave my store immediately. He said I did not have a receipt, he walked up with an attitude immediately because Tatyana told him that I was being an issue. I I told him I was not leaving until he gave my money back. I pulled up the email again and showed mark the same email that I had shown the women Julie and then he finally gave me the refund and said that the employee Julie didn't know how to do a special merchandise return. He said I have refunded the money back to your card ma'am and I walked out without saying anything further to him. After the thousands upon thousands of dollars that I have spent between my husband's work and our home remodels I would never step foot into a Menards store again knowing that they employ managers who treat people with disabilities so horrible! I will take my business to Lowe's and home Depot from now on.

I feel it is extremely necessary to mention that I was in the Port Huron store this morning and the level of customer service that I received from two male employees was OVER THE TOP! I was first talking to one gentlemen who was trying very hard to help me find a replacement knob for my window A/C and then he employed further help from another gentlemen employee. We searched a few different locations, with the latter man retrieving further information for me as to where I could possibly find it. I really couldn't devote much more time to trying to look as I had other shopping to do in a small amount of time... And although I didn't get their names I'm sure they know who they are and I would really appreciate it if they were commended for the level of service they were so graciously willing to give me! I'll be back!! And if you don't find out their names then I will and I'll add to this review ☺️

worst customer service ever, Parked in handicap by garden center as I’m post op from back surgery, had to walk all the way to main entrance cause garden center entrance closed at 8:30 AM, no help or cashier in garden center to help with mulch or anything else, then had to walk all the way to main entrance again to cash out. went to customer service and still no help, said i can order online and pick up, the manger just watched me limp out the door! will be going to Depot or Lowe’s from now on

One of the many reasons I like shopping here is how I find a new thing every time. This most recent trip I found the self service saw) cutting station out in the lumber yard.
Other stores: "Saw is for employee use only! Don't touch or else!!"
Menards: "Here's a saw, go nuts"

I've had several bad experiences here. Some employees are very great people. Most are just lazy, rude, and treat you like a inconvenience to them. It's hard to get help loading items. Very understaffed in the yard. There was 1 guy there trying to do everything there today. A manager came out to yard seen the guy trying to help customers and told him to go unload a truck. She didnt bother to help just walked off. Didnt send any help out that i seen either. Most of there policies are not shopper friendly. The rebates are just a joke. Most of the time you will never see them. If you get a defective item don't bother taking it back to store. I was told with a chainsaw once you buy it it's like a used car it's yours. That came from the actual store manager.

If u like being treated like an idiot and a thief this is the place to go. While most of their people are super nice one bad apple ruins the bunch. Just spent $ 125 and had to go to lumber yard for one purchase they didn’t have what they sold me in stoke which i thought was pretty bad but when they’re lumber yard guy found something that would’ve worked he handed it to me and said bring this up front with the receipt and they will swap it out. The new item being cheaper than the one already purchased so I grab the item bring it to the gate and explain what the lumber yard guy said he looked right at me and no he didn’t that’s not our policy as if I was trying to steal an item that was cheaper than the purchased one. So after words were exchanged I ultimately went right inside and returned the entire order and will NEVER shop here again!

Barely any staff, the staff they do have is more interested in making sales than actually being helpful or just not interested at all. Furthermore, they have almost no product knowledge.
The store overall is messy, there's a ton of dust, the second floor is borderline dangerous composed mostly wood splinters & actually is sinking in some places, allot of product looks tampered with or is damaged, overstock pallets are stocked half wrapped or in sketchy unstable ways.
There's better places to do hardware business.
