My daughter and couple of her friends attended Kate Sorbie's Introduction to Self Defense. The session was hosted by A Beautiful me at their new Training and Empowerment Center in Port Huron. Kate is a special talent that has been through some of the programming Karen and her established organization have been providing to our greater community for several years... The program was "Impressive' and fun, and no one died" My daughters words not mine... Ultimately the girls gained a heightened sense of awareness and how to enforce a level of protection in the event it is necessary. It is difficult to believe that 10% of females in college will experience sexual assault and approximately 20% of females will experience this in their lifetime :-( If you are looking for community, whether to share your time or help fund, this is a worthwhile Organization.

I have been a Facilitator for the A Beautiful Me workshops for many years now.
I am always amazed, and pleased, with the positive results I have seen in the girls after they have attend the Workshops.
They are building their self esteem, improving their communication skills and gaining knowledge that they will use the rest of their lives.

As a videographer, I have worked with A Beautiful Me professionally several times now. It is easy to portray who they are on camera because it is genuine off screen as well. Their passion for helping the young girls in our community grow in business skills as well as improve their self-image is unmatched.
As a local substitute teacher in our area schools, I have seen the impact ABMe has on my students first-hand. In the classroom, you can clearly see their confidence improve and their ethic of human value shines through as they work with their peers.
A Beautiful Me is such a positive force in our community. I am excited to see them continue to improve the lives of our youth in the future.
