Quite place to spend a day or two. There’s a nice swimming beach adjacent to the marina. They have gas dock with one diesel pump and one gasoline. The office and gas dock could be better equipped compared to other municipal marina and there’s no wifi, staff was hit and miss between some helpful and others that don’t seem to want to be at work. Be nice if showers had a bench in them and hooks. I would go back as the town is quaint and its a peaceful setting.

Not a good experience. Gas dock not working and we go no courtesy call. Now we are stuck wondering if we can make the 30 miles to the next gas dock. Office staff didn't seem to know anything about running a marina or customer service.Had to stay a second day due to weather and things actually got worse. The state of Michigan should be ashamed of themselves. Bathrooms and showers were not cleaned once during our two day visit. The bathrooms look like they are cleaned monthly. In addition to the gas dock and employees the ice machine was not operational.Horrible experience, couldn't wait to leave.

The city of Port Austin has really done a nice job with this area. Nicer park with modern playground , pavillians , barhrooms , sandy beach , good parking , good views, adjoining the breakwall thats wonderful gorowa fishing ot walking.Next to the State harbor and walking distance to the beautiful visitor center.

It was a very beautiful place to spend the day with the family. Took our little ones out on a 7 mile kanu trip to turnip rock, then seen some faces on the way. Extremely recommended to stop in port Austin just to admire what there is to offer.

Very clean and very quiet Harbor! It’s a great destination point for a quiet relaxing weekend. Words of wisdom though stay out in the shipping channel until you reach the harbor then come straight in from the north to the south! If you do this You will hit rocks and take out your prop and Scagg! I am telling you this because it happened to me!

You'll wait about 10 minutes for someone to show up to get gas. Also, there's a guy in a brown uniform who works the Saturday late afternoon/evening shift who either hates his job and/or hates his life but either way doesn't know anything about "common courtesy", "decency", or "respect". He'd probably be better off in another profession as he's clearly terrible at his current position.
