Maintaining an old car these days is not easy; much less if you don't know of an HONORABLE and trustworthy mechanic who is relatively accessible.
...in my case I had the joy of knowing one or another BONAFIDE mechanic, but that?was in my neighborhood??♂️and in "those times" (when I lived in Puerto Rico); because arriving in the United States, luck was different??♂️. Getting to know people from Puerto Rico was not difficult since there are Boricuas everywhere?...
But SCAMMERS too?; those who take advantage of the emergencies and needs of others TO ATTACK??“right and left”.
...and after 10 years and almost 4 vehicles lost in the hands of SCAMMER MECHANICS, it finally arrived in Pontiac, MI ??SAFEWAY QUICK LUBE, where there are about 10/15 SKILLED employees in automotive mechanics?ready, willing, available, kind, cordial, respectful, friendly, understanding and very considerate when invoicing for the work. First they study the mechanical problem and then they explain the failures and possible resolution options so that you KNOW, LEARN and KNOW more about your vehicle. YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE THIS SITE WITHOUT A WARRANTY IN YOUR HANDS (for parts and service); and they even give you an oil and filter change with 7 receipts for this work with them.
Finally, I will not mention the SCAMMER mechanics in the area because that task is up to each one, as it was up to me to live and learn... I can only warn you and STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you give yourself the opportunity to try this EXCELLENT workshop. automotive mechanics, where I guarantee you extreme satisfaction, relief and peace of mind knowing that there are PROFESSIONALS qualified to FIX your vehicle (without taking advantage of you), ALWAYS EXCEEDING YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
