They sold me the wrong part for my washer charge me a bunch of money and then when I tried to bring it back, they refused to return it never go to these people. They have no idea what they’re doing and we sell you the wrong parts just to make a sale and then when you don’t need them, they refuse to return them go anywhere else but here.

Very helpful and customer friendly business. They carry many heating and cooling parts that most other companies don't carry. I highly recommend them.

I've been going here for years. You get what you pay for. You get quality parts and great advice. Make sure to take a photo of the Make and model number of your appliance or device. Support a local business. They know their parts and business. And typically there's no shipping or wait for common parts.

If you need it, they almost always have it, and have been a great local supplier for me for about 40 years. There's a huge warehouse way down south on Michigan Avenue that's been a pretty good source with great hours, but Bussard is almost always priced just as good and they are always friendly and aim to please. Plus, they'll special order parts for you and have them in a couple days.

Friendly, quick, had the parts I needed in stock at a fair price with a one year warranty on the belt and idler pully arm. Can't complain at all! Hopefully I won't be back though lol

I enjoy doing repairs myself, and now with YouTube, a multimeter and some basic tools I can do 90% of my appliance repairs myself saving time and money. However, I still need the replacement parts… yes, I’m aware of Amazon where I’m never exactly sure of the parts quality, its’ history or even if it is correct… especially after you start crossmatching part numbers and manufactures. Not to mention the loss of time if it’s right (shipping) or wrong (return). I discovered Bussards 20+ years ago after I bought my first home, it needed a lot of work and I had very little money. The staff at Bussards is full of knowledge and always happy to help and share… Ohms, tests, part numbers, etc…This year, late Nov, my furnace engine stopped working, it is a very old model… I call Bussards at 4:50pm on a Friday as a snow storm was starting and the forecast for the weekend was well below zero. Turned out that they had stop stocking the part (like I said it was older… 25+years), but that didn’t end it. He knew the forecast and how much damage could happen to a house, plus having to move out with the kids, so he put me on hold and called around his network of warehouses, etc.. and found my motor. Then he went and picked it up from the distributor and met me back at Bussards well after 5pm by this time. You don’t get this treatment or knowledge at big box or corp stores… Bussards is a locally owned and operated shop, please give them an opportunity to earn your long-term business and trust.Steve (Thank you)

Excellent! I love supporting small businesses. They had the part I needed for my daughters stove in stock. The elderly woman at the counter was just the coolest! She was so nice.

I called several parts suppliers in the area for an evap fan which is a common failure for the Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Unfortunately, every call ended with, I would need to order the part. I decided to call Bussard but to be honest I was doubtful that they would have the part. I was helped by Kathy and she was so helpful and thorough in her search process, eventually notifying me that they actually did have what I needed. Needless to say, I was very thankful!!! I would recommend calling them if in need. They're a smaller "mom and pop" type supplier which I always try to support. Also, I must add that the the price was much cheaper than every other supplier I called prior. They also give a 10% military discount on parts. That is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Thank you all for your help!!!

This is the ONLY place I will ever shop for my appliance parts needs. I spent most of the day calling other appliance parts stores in my area. Waiting on hold, waiting for a call back and being told that they didn't have what I was looking for. I finally called Bussards and when I asked for the gas valve for my stove, I was asked "Are you sure that's what you need?" I explained the issue I was having and was informed that it was almost certainly not the valve and was most probably the glow bar/Igniter. He took the time to make sure I was getting the right part and to make sure I understood why. I live 45 minutes away and it is 100% worth the drive. I didn't even pay more for it. They had it on the shelf for cheaper than I could have ordered it for online. Even if it would have cost more I would have still purchased from Bussard. These folks know their stuff and are just flat out amazing. I got the igniter installed and the stove is working properly now. Thank you guys SO VERY MUCH. You've got yourselves a second generation customer for life. My Dad always gets his stuff from Bussards as well. Should have listened to him and called you guys in the first place. :O)

I don't recommend going here if you're female, you get treated like you're very stupid. Also you can't make returns on products that cost 250% more than anywhere else. Their "warranty" is long but that doesn't make a difference if I can't get my money back. Very disappointing paying so much for something that doesn't work anyway.

This was a great appliance repair store. They close early at 5pm so be sure to have all of your materials ready to limit those frustrating follow up visits.

Completely overpriced. Their prices are higher than retail but they don't give you the actual OEM part you would get retail they give you the cheap Amazon aftermarket version and charge more than OEM retail prices.

Some reviews just write themselves. This one is long in coming. Months ago I bought a new motor from Bussard’s for an old clothes dryer. I was given clear and patient instructions on the removal of the old motor and install of the new. These guys know their stuff and they freely share their expertise.

My washing machine spin cycle decided to stop working earlier this afternoon. Of course it is a known issue with a worn coupler between the motor and transmission. Verified this with a few YouTube videos also.Heading there and made it right before 5pm and the owner gladly assisted with the part I needed. In and out within minutes. I greatly appreciated it and now I have a appliance parts store in the area I can go too. ??

I just received wonderful customer service at Bussard! Our decades-old attic fan finally quit. Several heating/cooling contractors couldn't help, but Kotz suggested I try Bussard Appliance (240 W. Walton, Pontiac) to get the replacement parts we needed. Not only did Bussard have the replacement motor in stock, but Smitty volunteered to take the old one to his own supplier to ensure we could get the proper fan blade and related parts to complete the job. I expected he might do that within the next few days, but instead I got a call back in less than an hour that all parts were ready and waiting for me. Same day service, above and beyond expectations! Thank you to Smitty and the nice lady at the counter for being so fast and helpful. With service like this, it's no wonder Bussard's has been in business for so many years. Thanks again!
