I banked with Macatawa in west Michigan for 10 years, they were always phenomenal. Unfortunately moving to east Michigan forced me into a new bank... PNC...
Issues 1: I chose PNC last year because I needed to be able to do cash advances. My company reimburses me through a corporate credit card for my frequent work related travel. For several months I used my corporate credit card for cash advances. I walked in to perform the same cash advance I had been doing for several months however, suddenly PNC has a policy that has been in place for 2 years not allowing a cash advance from a credit card.
Issue 2: Never in my life have I been required to filled out a deposit/withdrawal slip. At my previous bank the teller would fill it out and you would be in and out within a minute. At PNC there is a whole process to get a slip filled out. You are forced to talk to a lady prior to the teller that seems to purposely be unbelievably slow.
Issue 3: I have excellent credit, never missed a payment, and I was approved for an absurd 11% loan. Since I'm not stupid enough to accept that I chose to pay cash.

I went into the Plymouth branch to ask for non-financial information on my Mothers checking account TYPE. I only wanted to know what the minimum balance requirements were for her checking account TYPE. The employee asked for two forms of ID. Again, I just want to know what the minimum required balance is for her TYPE of checking account, No Personal Information. The employee than asked me to enter my SS number. I left the branch at that point.I made one 5 minute call to another PNC branch, on the west side of Michigan, and was given the required minimum over the phone. In My Opinion: STAY AWAY FROM THE DOWNTOWN PLYMOUTH BRANCH.

The staff here is really friendly. I was dealing with a frustrating issue with my PNC account (not this branch’s fault; more of a corporate issue) and I was greeted by Amna who assured me she’d look into it and fix it. Very friendly, super helpful, and I was all set within 10-15 mins. The service in this branch is wonderful.

Everyone that I have spoke here with is very polite. Maybe I've had one bad encounter, but everyone has a bad day every once in awhile. They are very prompt and I have never been kept waiting. Honestly none of these 1 star reviews make any sense and I lived here pre-pandemic even. Great facility and nice people, can't ask for more.

I asked the manager Ms. M to help me. She did help problem solve and then I never heard back from her. PNC made a banking error and when discovered. She ended the phone conversation and never called me back. PNC employee did NOT place a stop payment as requested….This error occurred 2x. I was hoping my local branch could advocate…but this is not the place to helpOut!

The bank teller named Kathy is very rude and acts like you're putting her out if you need any help.

I've been doing business with PNC for more than 15 years even before they changed their name to PNC. this branch is not the one you want to visit. the lady who takes the calls is rude and unpolite. I don't recommend going there.

The PNC app is not reliable and never functions properly. I went to inside to deposit money and the employees treated me like I was stupid. Their attitudes were not friendly at all and it needs to be fixed. Do not bank here.

Why have a call button at the drive up lanes if you are never going to answer? I had lost my debit card and was going to get a new one before work and I didn't know what forms of information they needed from me so I hit the call button to ask before sending the tube to them....I waited and waited and pressed the call button again, still nothing.I waited in line before this too just to get up there and with their no reply, I had to leave so I was not late for work. And I am still left without a debit card.

This branch reached out to go over help options if I had been financially impacted by COVID19. Now that's customer care! Also, the other ladies at this branch have always greeted me with happy faces. Thank you PNC Plymouth!
