Nice toy shop in Plymouth, MI. Had so many things that I stayed for over an hour. The staff was very helpful and nice. Toys ranged from modern favorites to the classic hard to find ones. Definitely a place to go if you like puzzles or board games.

Overall they had good products, but they followed me and my girlfriend around the store because they thought she was stealing a bracelet when in reality it was a hair tie that she owned. They asked us twice if we were checking out when we didn’t have anything in our hands.

This toy store surprised me! They had a lot of classic toys in addition so some modern ones. It was hard to resist buying everything here! Great for gifts or if you have kids or just want to try something new on game night

This place is not a place any person of color should go shop at. I was racially profiled with my friend, we’re both African Americans. I felt very uncomfortable walking in and automatically being followed and being talked to in a rude tone by two employees. I advise every person of color to just find another toy store to shop at:)

We have been coming here on and off for the last five years since our first child was born.People who complain about the prices must be living under a rock; of course a small, independent store with a carefully curated selection of high quality products is more expensive than elsewhere. DUH! If you want cheap, go to a dollar store or cheapmart. If you want to put money into the local community, if you want quality, if you want service, if you want a unique selection, come here!They are the only place around that has an amazing selection of Calico Critters! Plus it’s so cute inside and just an all around fun place to be.And I’m so thankful they require masks for the safety of their staff and guests. We love coming here!

If you go to a cracker barrel lobby and see overpriced toys....that's this place. The game selection is alright though.

This is our favorite toy store! So many special and unique finds. From board games, puzzles, and science kits, to the best stuffed animal selection, and tons of Calico Critters - with everything in between. You can even find classics like tiddlywinks, hula hoops, and invisible ink books, and a great selection of arts and craft kits. There’s something for everyone! Incredibly helpful staff who are knowledgeable about their products. Why would you go anywhere else??

My kids have a behavior chart where they earn a new toy after earning a certain amount of stickers. I used to take them to big box stores, but it wasn't the same as going to a toy store like I used to as a kid. We're so glad that we found Genuine Toy Store! Not only do they have a great selection, but the staff is always very helpful and kind, and their prices are competitive while also supporting a local business.

I am so upset writing this. This toy shop has posted video on their social media accusing children of stealing, being disrespectful and accusing parents of being in on the actions of the children. The video posted very clearly shows minors leaving the store from many different cameras and they ask for the public to come forward and name these CHILDREN. I don't know what the law is here but it seems very odd that they are able to do this without the consent of the parents. From what I understand these children were being children in the store and were not part of a "gang" which one of her friends suggested. After reading another review here this store does not allow children to explore their offerings even if they plan on buying what they are touching. I've enjoyed taking my children to this shop over the years but I will not return or allow them to go there as I feel they may be filmed and accused without reason.
