Closing all of my accounts immediately. Sent a wire transfer from my Fidelity account on Friday. They didn’t process it until today- no big deal… except that they didn’t process the transaction until 45 min after they allowed 3 other transactions to go through and then charged me multiple fees. Ridiculous. Glad I was a loyal customer for years even though their locations are completely inconvenient.

My parents were members of this credit union when it was Burroughs years ago,and stayed members when it changed to Genisys.And now hubby and I are members. They did wonderful for my parents and we are totally happy for them as well...Friendly and downhome caring from everyone here!!!

I came to this location to open a checking, savings and money market account. After the few years I been with this company I am DONE! I am on petty mode now. Here are the reasons why.The straw the broke the camels back is a long story but I try my best to keep it short. I am really ANGRY with Genisys Credit Union and I beyond angry at MEGAN KROT. I was told by MEGAN KROT, “You are pre-approved for,” my auto loan. I was LIED to! There were a lot of hiccups, I was flustered a bit but did stay calm best I can. I admit to them I was upset when I wasn’t told important information, but I refused to be disrespectful to people who are not at fault. I was assertive, but not rude. I worked with the public before I know how hard it is. Now when I am about to head out the door to finish the purchase of the car I get a call from MEGAN KROT, at the Waterford branch off of Walton rd. Telling me I am NOT approved for the auto loan now. I admit I hung up on her. I know RUDE. But I rather hang up on her then started yelling at her for LIEING to me. I admit don’t deal with well liars.This is not the first time I had bad experiences with Genisys. When I was looking to purchase a home the person that was “helping me” with the pre approval amount wanted to argue with me about grants that is out there for first time home buyer. I know about all the grants from working in my family business of real estate agents that specialized and first time homebuyers and people who are low income for over 20 years and I work with them growing up in my teens years up to the present but not as much. I told this person this and I was mansplaned how a home purchase works. That is one of the reasons why I didn’t purchase a home. I knew I had to go elsewhere for a mortgage and had to be careful not to go with a misogynistic person. Even thought most of the staff you see is women, doesn’t mean they respect women customers.BUT I should of known when I first open my accounts with them, the person who helped me at the Plymouth location off of Haggerty rd, was extremely rude to me. She was so kind and sweet to people before me so I was confused. She gave me a major attitude when I requested to open a money market account with checking and savings. I thought maybe something happened and she was processing it. BUT after everything was done and I left her office she was super wonderfully nice to the next person after me. I was highly tempted to closed those new accounts, but I just shook my head and left. BIG MISTAKE!This credit union brand is two faced company. The high yield checking (slightly over 4% dividends ) here not worth being lied to and disrespected. Also the dividends in savings and money market accounts, and all other savings that they have is a joke. Only thing they have is the high yield checking. Want to milk their 4% go right ahead. But you want real dividends for your savings go anywhere but Genisys Credit Union.

As others mentioned, communication at this location is less than great. I applied for a Home Loan through the main Genisys Credit Union website (as I did with my previous home), someone called me from Plymouth about a week later and I confirmed all of my information over the phone. I was told I would hear back from the woman the next day..And that was a month ago. They pulled my credit history and never got back to me. I have since moved on to another source for my Home Loan due to lack of response or follow-up. Sad that a credit union that I do all of my banking with treats me and other customers they way they do.

The staff is always super friendly and welcoming during my times I have visited the branch! And a super thank you so much to Ms. Kathleen for all the help with the application of my loan and helping me during a super stressful time! I seriously appreciate all the help!!

No wonder they have a 3 star rating! I have excellent credit and ? on time payment history and I applied for a debt consolidation loan and was denied for no good reason. I applied on 11.15.21 and didn't hear back from anyone so I finally called them on 11.23.21 for an update to be told my application was denied. At what point did they plan on telling me if at all? I will be transferring my car loan with them to a different credit union that wants my business and they will most likely approve my loan request! There's to many other credit Unions out there to put up with such poor Customer Service!!

This is by far the WORST Credit Union I have ever been affiliated with!!! Every customer service representative I have spoken to have been RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNINFORMED about the services, procedures and practices that their business provide. Not only were the customer service reps, (Heather & Chelsea) UNPROFESSIONAL, but the manager (Christine T.) was RUDE, CONDESCENDING and UNKNOWLEDGEABLE also, which explains why the reps have such HORRIBLE DISPOSITIONS!!! If you are able to bank elsewhere, I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO DO SO!!! I am currently pursuing other options to refinance my loan with another credit union or financial establishment!!!!
