Staff was comically unhelpful and unfriendly, ended up going to orileys down the street where the staff actually actually looked up the information i needed.

Plymouth, MI. 5/4/24, 15:22.
I waited in line for the salesman who was finishing a phone call and after hanging up, proceeded to do some business on his computer. When he was ready to assist me, he muttered "next" without making eye contact, so I attempted to clarify he was speaking to me. He said ya, what do you need? I told him what I needed, to which he responded "we're not going to be able to install that for you today, hon". I never asked for installation. I asked for his name, since he wasn't wearing a name tag, although his fellow employee was. He snapped back "what's your name?" Then he said, "oh, so you can make a complaint"
Maybe this guy had a bad day, but if you can't figure out how to take your anger/frustration out on something aside from customers, then you don't belong at the cash register or any other customer-facing position. From the time I entered the store, this guy was all anger. I hope AutoZone either re-trains their employee, or reassign him to an alternate position. I look forward to speaking with management from AutoZone.
I've always had top-notch service at AutoZone. However this recent encounter is unacceptable.
I'll also mention, I am a female veteran, was wearing my Operation Iraqi Freedom hat and I can't help but believe this contributed to his unprofessional, disrespectful behavior.
The attached photo is the sign the salesman hand-wrote in front of me and other customers, then proceeded to post on the door, then locked the door (it was only before 3:30pm). The posted hours state till 9pm for Saturday.

Went to AutoZone to get a battery. My car died in the parking lot. The worker tells me he can sell me a battery, but he won't help put it in nor let me borrow tools. Why, you ask? Because they're "closing in five minutes." So, I ask for a jump start. He brings out the portable starter, and it isn't charged. His solution? "Call triple a."Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, like to the O'Reilly across Ann Arbor Road. I certainly won't be back to Auto Zone.
