“The staff are friendly but the store is a bit crowded with stuff in the aisles often. Nice though to have a store close to home so dont have to drive into Jackson to get the basics.”

“I've always liked GFS for bulk food and service items, especially as my large family was growing. Now as my family has tripled in size, it's a go-to for items we need for our family gatherings.”

“While I do love this place, when I went in the shop today one of the employees was grabbing raw meat with her hands without gloves and then cash and then raw meat without gloves again. The meat on the other hand is always wonderful! But I prefer my meat not cross contaminated...”

“Frank's is a great neighborhood grocery store. A very interesting selection with unusual to find items along with what you expect. Prices aren't low, but neither is the drive to a big box store.”

“We enjoy Aldi more than before thanks to not having to wait in line forever. Prior to the store adding several self checkout lanes, there were times that the wait in line was just as long as it took to shop. Thanks for the upgrades.”

“I am a faithful Polly's customer and shop 4 of its stores on a regular basis depending on which part of town I'm in. My absolute favorite is the Country Market in Brooklyn MI - the checkout area is ALWAYS fully staffed and ready.I want to give a shout out to the Spring Arbor Road store DELI DEPT. It is SO easy to be waited on by a friendly and eager staff person. I sometimes go out of my way to buy fresh prepared food there!Parnall Rd produce is the best lay out with plenty of room and fresh stock. The Vandercook store meat department is excellent! Love the way they cut steaks! Thank you Pollys!”

“Good selection; good prices. You can find things that smaller grocery stores might not have, such as bok choy and goat cheese. They also have a pretty decent selection of gluten-free products.”

“Asked several questions about different suppliment's. The clerk was very knowledgeable and showed me what he had in stock. He also made recommendations. If you need answers you will find them here.”

“I want you to know what a great person and and a great customer service representative you have in Brian W. at the Michigan Ave. Jackson store.
I had parked my car down by the health and beauty aids section of the store.
I was shopping your store buying some batteries for my son. It was close to 9 PM. I went to the self check out near the health and beauty aids, But they just shut it down for the night.

So I walked all the way to the other end of the store to check out. I decided to walk indoors and exit where I had come in.

As I approached the doors. Brian told me that because it was just after 9 o’clockPM, they had just liked that set of doors for the night.

He could see that I’m 69 years old man and that my wear a brace on my leg to help me walk.

I said to him, “You’ve got to be kidding.“.
Before I could even turned around to walk to the other entrance, Brian manually unlocked both sets of doors and let me out.

I had had quite a long day of it, but Brian made me feel valued by helping me be able to get to my car quicker so I could go home.

Thank you, Brian W. You are a winner in my book!

BJ Hohnke, loyal Meijer shopper.”

“My husband came into your store last Tuesday to get me apple pectin. My husband explained my stomach empties food into my intestines too early which gives me some unpleasant issues. The guy he spoke with suggested psyllium husk capsules. I can’t tell you how much they have helped me! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.”

“Nice store, similar to European ones. Prices are quite high when compared to Walmart, but maybe the products are of better quality. There is everything here, from food, supplements, clothes, shoes. Big, clean and tidy store.”

“Usually pretty good. Close to home but they really need to work on the party occasion area. Birthday bags just throwen down not hung up. Still wrapped in plastic. So have to dig threw all of them to find the size I need. Some staff is extremely rude. I don't care if she has a mental or physical handicapp. She's rude and not the way to treat the staff. I only will go there when the manager is working or the blonde hair lady I like..they both are the most friendly people in that store!! And very knowledgeable”

“I'm not sure what's up with all the negativity about this Walmart. It's a clean and well stocked store with everything that you'd expect Walmart to have, plus bread, meat and cheese, produce, and frozen foods. There's even a Subway inside! I've only used their self-checkout, so I can't say much about how friendly the staff is. They seemed pretty normal though.”

“I like the fact that they still have the self-checkout at the local Walmart. I usually run into for a few things and I can get in and out with the self-checkout without having to deal with people”

“Recently the past few days I have seen some new faces and they are seriously the sweetest employees I've encountered there in a LONG time. Make you feel welcome when you come into the store and when you have to much stuff in your hands while in line go out of their way to give you a basket. Walking with your groceries? No problem double bagging for you. The lines have also been significantly quicker now that there are actually people doing their jobs!”

“If you need cheap prescriptions, Kroger Pharmacy is hard to beat! They almost always have the lowest prices. This one is great because it will take you no time to drop off or pick up your prescriptions because they're really fast here. The people behind the counter are really friendly and kind. I had particularly difficult insurance and it took the woman behind the counter very little time to look it up and apply it. Overall a great place!”

“They’ve had longer than normal wait times but I still love this pharmacy. Everyone is amazing and helpful and I’m always asked if I have questions or need to speak to the pharmacist. Great customer service all around. Especially Caterina she is always so helpful! Thank you all so much for caring for your patients.”

“I have loved this Kroger since it was my first job, in high school. Ever since the Pandemic, we have kept with the grocery pickup. There is one individual who always asks about coupons, shares the substitutions, and does a solid job all around.

Today, we went to pick up almost $200 of groceries this morning and were sadly disappointed with our experience. We did not have our usual guy, and had a weird experience. He came out to our spot, asked where we wanted the groceries, loaded them in the bed of our truck, and left. We weren’t sure if he was coming back or not, but waited roughly 10 minutes before making the departure home. When arrived to unpack our groceries, we were shocked to see half of our items were missing from the order.

I quickly called the store and asked if they had a remedy other than requesting a refund on the mobile app. Brian was one of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever dealt with! He asked when we would be available and assured me that he had picked out our order himself, so he knew the items SHOULD have been with the rest. We arrived at 4:30 and Brian promptly met us with our missing items as well as a $20 gift card to help remedy the situation.

It’s hard to find places that take care of their customers, let alone a “grocery store/fuel center.” Perhaps is it my slightly biased opinion from shopping here for 10+ years, but if you are coming through town and need ANYTHING. - this is a place you’re always welcome to call home.”
