They took $300 cash which I deposited through ATM on Monday 2/5 and did not return to me until the 2/14 late evening. Fees for nsf from bills trying to clear and bouncing which 5/3 refuses to reimburse ne for . Not to mention ruining valentines day. I will never bank there again no matter who buys them or name they choose. I remember old kent! They were just as bad.

My overall rating is a 4 but Matthew Quimby provides excellent customer service. He is pleasant, efficient, and tries his best to make it a great banking experience for customers. Ask for him at this location because others are not as helpful.He rates 5 stars.

When asked if I could cash a check that was written from their establishment they said no because I did not have a checking account even though I do have a mortgage and credit card with them. I then took the check once they endorsed it to the bank Where I have a checking account and they said that is usually improper protocol because when I had taken it to another bank they said anybody could have forged that endorsement authorization. It's beyond me why they would not cash a check from their own bank to facilitate the process of this insurance claim. Update I spent $15 having a certified check sent to me from my investment agency and they said that they would not cash it even though now I have all accounts with them

Very disappointed with the service from the fifth third bank in Otsego. My wife sent in the paperwork to close a CD in Late May, Now it’s July 6 th. Still have not sent the funds. They do not return phone calls and do not answer phone calls. Leave messages that are not returned. No wonder have so many 1 responses. Will never do business with Again.

I do not understand why I had to answer what my former occupation was to DEPOSIT money. I get having to show my ID, but why the occupation question? Then the guy next to me makes a deposit and isn’t even asked for ID. Hate this white branch.

If you want a standard refi to take more than two months, have phone calls texts and emails not returned, and have two failed closing attempts call Fifth Third in Plainwell Michigan. They can do all of these things for you. #Fifththirddebacle.

Fifth Third wouldn't give me a credit card after 2 years as a customer, Flagstar Bank approved me for a $230,000 mortgage. ???

Not sure where to start with this bank. We recently had hail damage on our house where our insurance company sent us checks to cover the costs of the damages to the siding, roof, and gutters. State Farm Insurance company made it payable to us and our mortgage holder. This is standard procedure according to the contractors and the insurance company when there’s a mortgage lender involved. State Farm would not issue the checks any other way. We had the mortgage lender sign off as payee.Fifth Third wouldn’t deposit the checks even when I brought all the insurance paperwork in the branch. I was told three different reasons of why they wouldn’t take the checks( because the mortgage company being as payee, because they were stale dated( the checks had no expiration date), because the large amounts on the checks. We were told to go to our mortgage holder, Chase Bank, to see about opening an account. That’s exactly what we did and will be moving our Fifth Third accounts over there after this. They had no issues with depositing our insurance checks from State Farm. The best part is when I tried to contact them again by phone and left a voicemail, I never received a phone call back. Terrible customer service.

Called their Loan Servicing Dept. to get a final payoff on my mortgage. Current balance is approximately $350. The Representative (who herself was friendly and professional) quoted me a payoff in excess of $1000 and was unable to detail why it was so high. She suggested faxing me a payoff letter which would break down the amount, and that I would get this fax by the end of the business day. What is this, 1985? Fax? By the end of the day? I used to work in Loan Servicing and I can tell you that this level of service would have been completely unacceptable in my day, and that was 30+ years ago. So... now I have to wait for the answer to a simple question, and it's coming via fax. Haha, ridiculous.

They gave out my account number and caused me nothing but headaches. Finally closed my accounts with them.
