I don’t go out of my way to write reviews… Occasionally, I’ll drop in a negative review when I’m motivated by terrible service… Once in a while, when the stars align just perfectly, someone goes so far above and beyond expectations that I actually feel compelled to share their outstanding deeds in a positive review… I’ve bought and sold more homes than I ever thought I would… Expensive ones, cheap ones, investment ones, and vacant land… I’ve worked with many other agents over the years, and I’ve worked with Chuck. I don’t know that it’s even fair to categorize Chuck with other agents… What makes Chuck so exceptional is his perfect character… I don’t know how to explain it, but to have someone that you know is in your corner, someone who will be truthful, fair, honest, caring, compassionate, understanding and have that COMBINED with Exceptional Professionalism, would be a lot to ask for… Chuck has all of the above, PLUS OUTSTANDING INTEGRITY, and is a SUPERB NEGOTIATOR… He will work your deal, to the very best of his abilities, all the while, taking from you as much direction as possible. If you’re trying to get every dollar out of your sale, he will reach for as much as he can, if you need to get your deal done as soon as possible, he’ll work to get things done as soon as he can… If you’re looking for a home, he’s the same outstanding guy helping you pinpoint the best match and negotiate the best deal… What really takes the cake though is how his outstanding quality and superb abilities come honor bound to fair, honest, and truthful communication. I can’t emphasize the last part enough, to know that your agent is both talented and knowledgeable and that he is also willing to say to you what he knows you may not want to hear is the most comfortable experience possible when buying or selling a home… Thanks for all your hard work, Chuck

I would strongly recommend Berkshire Hathaway in Plainwell. Chuck Kinnane is a top notch agent. He is confident, knowledgeable and wise. He anticipated my questions and helped me navigate the selling of my home. If you want a hard working fighter to help you sell your home, Chuck is the one!
Not everything was going smoothly and Chuck smoothed out the bumps with his wisdom, expertise and connections in the community!

I could not be more disappointed with the service provided from Corby Callaway. We were selling my mother’s home due to terminal cancer. Hook, line and sinker. Said everything to make my mom feel like he would do a great job. He was very unresponsive. We had a couple hurdles like renters moving out but even thought this; a great agent can have good communication skills. (Made promises to the renters he would get them in touch with some financing people he never did) As soon as the renters moved out we made repairs to home. (Had done in less than a week.) I was told it was better not to show home until we replaced carpet we were both in agreeance with this discussion. He had two ppl interested to come during that time and I was told they were ok with coming after carpet. A day later he took our listing down because our contact expired and never even called.. Well he sent a text Friday at 5pm “The listing is set to expire this weekend. I understand if you’d like to go in a different direction but I would like to sign an extension to continue working with you guys. Now that the renters are out I feel like I would have a chance to sell it. ” But never told us listing would be removed or that we needed to meet right then and there to resign. How about you pick up your cell phone and call to let us know what is going on and maybe do it a week before listing expires not a day. "I understand if you’d like to go in a different direction" That is how to sell yourself!! I let him know the carpet was done never told me listing wasn’t there anymore NEVER even responded. I found out because another agent called to get my business. No wonder he has one house listed. POOR, POOR customer service skills! So much for the two ppl interested less than a week earlier. I think he showed the house maybe once or twice. Promised post cards never sent or who knows maybe he did but he doesn’t communicate So, I wouldn’t know maybe I just never saw them. These are just a few of the things. ANYONE CAN HAVE CRAPPY CIRCUMSTANCES BUT WITH UNDERSTANDING AND COMMUNICATION ANYTHING CAN BE OVERCOME. It is too bad because I really like Berkshire Hathaway and he completely ruined our experience with the company.
