Stay away form the used cars. Had our 2014 escape in for a coolant leak they could not find it. (Big Surprise) Took it to a Ford dealer and they found a coolant leak in the motor. It will cost $8000 to replace the motor. tried to have it fixed under warranty was told they cant find anything yet I was still loosing coolant. Now the warranty is up by 700 miles and we are unable to get it fixed.
I do not like being lied to or pushed aside to help with overhead. First picture taken yesterday second one taken when when I first took it in under warranty.
If they would like to help work this out you have our number.
WOW! You never did an engine inspection to see if it was going into the cylinder. It never stopped leaking! The coolant would just disappear. Now we know where it was going. Also with the block intrusion of coolant you could not see it from the exterior of the engine. As you may know with a block intrusion of coolant it can and will cause it to burp back into the coolant tank then out the overflow. Not playing games. Just want people to know how we were treated.

Worked with James on my purchase. All the staff were super nice and courteous. They don't walk by without being friendly ot give off the not my customer vibes, instead they act as if it's their home and you're the guest. As it should be everywhere.

Joseph Carr was kind, helpful and was not your stereotypical used car salesman. They listened to what we wanted, gave us time and space to make a decision that was right for us. While our vehicle wasn’t ready to go today we appreciate their honest approach to sales. Thank you for everything!

Just wanted to give Grace Deyarmond an Internet Marketing Specialist from Schafer Chevrolet a shout out for her help on the information, the extra time spent walking around the vehicle for me and putting together everything she could. With me being out of state. She was really helpful and detailed about the vehicle. Thank you again Grace! (Not my photo)

Schafer is a great place. Bought my first car from them in 1972. I came back because it feels like they're always just trying to help with the car buying experience. Ed is VERY easy to work with, never pushed on us and was super friendly, seems like he actually cares. It was a pleasure

I recently bought a 2018 Chevy equinox from Schafer. This is the second car I have purchased from them.
I am very disappointed with this car.
I went to Schafer because I, and family had purchased excellent vehicles from there in the past. I had thought they made sure the cars they sell are sound, good running vehicles. That being said. My car has multiple issues with it, and of course no warranty because it was just over the 100,000 mile cut off (107,000 miles). Needless to say the awd never worked ( did not know that since I was unfamiliar with awd) that will cost me $650, once I can afford it. And all of the tire sensors had to be replaced at just over $300. The first tire sensor went out literally 10 miles down the road on day of purchase. And now there is something wrong with the acceleration of the vehicle. I am just praying it’s not the turbo for $1200.
Buyer beware. I’ve only had the car for 4 months and I’m looking at a lot of repairs to make the car whole. $13000 dollars for a partially working car. I will never recommend Schafer to any family or friends again. Nor will I ever buy a car from them again. They are just another scammy used car lot. Sad.

Just purchased a Chevy 2500 from Dan K. and the experience was great. Fair, honest price on a quality vehicle. I have recommended Dan and Shafer Chevrolet to several friends since being a customer.

Definitely would not recommend this place. The vehicle I test drove had a an engine light they tried to cover up. The vehicle was definitely overpriced for the amount of rust and the cigarette smell in the cabin. After getting back from test drive they offered me 8g less then KBB on my trade in. Complete waste of time.

I dealt with Kasey today he was very professional and polite. I told him what I was looking for and what I wanted to keep my payments at. He did a wonderful job and my payments are .68 cents more than what I wanted. Very happy with the service I received and most definitely be back!
