Love this breeder. We got the best newfound from Mary. These dogs love to sleep in the snow.

I second the poster 'Gundula Hofer' - I drive past this kennel often and it seems under great neglect. I pray for the owner that perhaps she is just behind but I am greatly concerned for the dogs. The grass is quite overgrown, the kennel is in pretty rough shape, looks like it could use some major upkeep and maintenance, painting, etc.I saw one dog inside the fenced area of the kennel as well. As far as I could tell he seemed okay but he was all alone so I don't know.

I drive by this place a lot and my heart aches for the dogs. The kennel looks totally neglected and the dogs are in small pens with hardly any room to move. It’s a disgrace.Someone ought to rescue these dogs

We got both of our boys from Castaway Newfoundlands. Mary and Coleen are one the best breeders out there! We could not be happier with dogs from their kennel. They are very responsible and do all the nesessary tests, including heart check, to make sure puppies are very healthy.

Mary and her Daughter are the best. We have loved three of their Newfoundlands over the last 30 years. Nothing but the best from Mary

We got a 8 month old chocolate from Castaway kennels. We loved our dog, but the poor guy had issues from the start. For the first 6 months, he wouldnt eat, or he did eat but threw up or immediately got diarrhea. After fixing his dietary issues, he ended up with arthritis in both front legs and was quite nearly lame by only 2 years old. We were also told he was crate, leash, and potty trained. This was all false. We have a great dane as well and he has never had any health issues, so I feel it wasnt our improper raising but the poor boys genetics. Broke my heart seeing my two year old pup struggling to get up after laying down.
