Decent golf course, nothing special but prices match which is nice, surprisingly empty then realized the recent airation had left some mess and combined with the dreary weather got us twenty each for nine holes, we had some fun! Carts were clean, bathrooms looked well cared for, and we couldn't fault the nice landscaping and overall setup. Oddly there was a large well stocked bar and menus presenting happy hour deals but as with the weather nothing going for us, we made due finding two apple trees in the first greens!

We had an 8:30 am Sunday tee time. And there was nobody on the course ahead of us. So we were able to play at our own pace. Some really neat holes out there. But the course is hard as a rock. And in dire need of taking out 20 or 30 trees to make it more playable for the average Joe. We played in mid September and were disappointed to find the restaurant was already closed for the season. Fortunately the bar was open. But no cart girl out selling during our round. Not a big deal. We got beverages at the turn. Course could use some serious TLC in some areas. The tree clearing would help with a lot of the bare patches in the fairway. Greens were pretty decent save a few bad spots. But again. Some good maintenance would go a long way. The layout is interesting and would keep us coming back every year if the other issues were tidied up.

Course is nice, other than being harrased by the manager out on the course. She said we were not keeping up with pace and said to pick our balls up and let the people behind us play through. We waited at the next tee box for 15 mins before another cart even came by. I will not play here again. Also mosquitos were terrible.

Well where do I start at the 2nd and 3rd hole me and my buddy and my brother were harassed by the manager, her name was Mary McGraw I’m actually from the area and it’s been awhile since I golfed there. She said that if you’re not in your fairway you need to put your ball back in your own fairway after she was playing in a women’s league. Never heard of this rule in all the years playin golf. We were keeping up with play of pace and even let a couple 2 parties ahead of us definitely never going back there or will recommend this course to all the other golfers that I know. We are all bogy plus golfers by the way. People like this women are the reasons why we can’t just have fun and Love the game.

Been golfing here a long time very sad to see how terrible its run now. Over booked it took 6 hours to play 18. What? 6 hours. Not watered no fertilizer its hard as a rock its yellow. The tees are not in good condition. I will not be back this was a huge dissapointment and a waste of my time and money.

Stopped in for a drink with my wife on a Friday evening (5pm). The place is dead. 6 cars in the parking lot. Not a soul at the bar. Waited 10 mins at the bar and received no service from the two employees behind the bar. So we left and headed to northern trails. We won’t be back.

Place is managed very badly, waiting 15+ minutes on every hole due to overbooking and letting people tee off whenever they’d like not following tee times, I would not recommend golfing here the course is in rough shape overall, go spend your money somewhere else

Awesome course and good staff. If you like a good challenge this is your course it's very tight so your game play has to be good and it's very cheap. Hopefully they do not turn this to an RV park because it is a very good place

Great value on this 18 hole course. A few challenging holes. Does need some course updating and maintenance to give it a higher rating. Nice clubhouse with restaurant and bar.

Have been here numerous times through the years and am sad to see it in the state it’s in now. Hosted a fundraiser here this year for Pierson Township Parks and Rec. We were severely disappointed by their lack of communication and horrible customer service. Was told we would receive a breakdown of costs including a bar bill and it never happened. Event was prepaid by corporate sponsors and our bill was magically the same exact amount we prepaid.Always short staffed with the staff constantly walking out or not showing up.My husband had a tee time for a Sunday morning this summer and showed up to a line of cars at the gate. Some kid finally showed up to open the course over an hour late and then didn’t know how to operate the credit card machine. Absolute disaster.Definitely do not recommend! Especially for an event!!!

This is a beautiful piece of property. And the layout of the course in incredibly tight. You really don't have a lot of room to work the ball, especially off the tee. Don't need to hit driver too frequently as it's not a very long course. The greens are small making this a very tough course. The only downside is that this course isn't maintained very well. The greens were actually in decent shape but the tee boxes were absolutely brutal. It's pretty budget friendly however that means you're going to have a lot of players out there that don't take care of divots and ball marks.Increasing the greensfees $20-$25 would probably keep out some of the riffraff that doesnt take care of the course and allow this place to do some of the maintenance and TLC this track badly needs.I hope better days are in store for this place. It really is a wonderfully laid out course with a ton of potential.

It would be generous to say the course was in fair condition. Much of the grounds were of equal quality of my own yard, and I will admit I’m terrible about taking care of my yard. It was difficult to tell the difference in the cart paths and the sand traps. Both were primarily of sand, with scattered pebbles and tree roots. If you don’t mind being charged 3% for a credit card fee, and have low standards for quality for the golf course your playing this may be the place for you.

We attended my husband's 50th class reunion last weekend, we were very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. Tough overcooked steak and chicken overdone, mashed potatoes but no gravy. They seated us outside under a west facing deck, when the sun lowered all of the over 65 year old guests were cooking in the sun. The planning committee said they were promised a tent, there was none. They were told they would have liquor, and possibly evening music, but did not. The first to arrive had to find staff to clean and remove cobwebs off chairs. When we arrived we were told "head down that stairway you're in back". The stairway had large sections of tile that had been removed from floors leaning against the walls. The bathroom was clean but the ceiling had been removed. I would not plan an event here until they get their act together.I understand management is new and "working on alot" and covid has affected everything. If you aren't upfront with customers about issues especially those planning an event, you lose trust.Whitefish lake golf course, I don't golf so I can't comment on that, the grounds and building are beautiful, please improve soon so we can enjoy this venue again.
