The director, Ms. Michalski(Unsure of spelling, as the woman refused to slow down and clarify either first name or spelling thereof, only saying she was "from a very distinguished family." Which means nothing to me. I don't care about her family when I'm grieving my Mother. I simply want you to do your job....), is very unprofessional, does not obtain all facts before beginning a case, and is arrogant and condescending to grieving family members. My family has long used Galer (Reamer) funeral services, however it seems that the last few times have been less and less of the down home and quality services we are used to receiving during such a trying time. I was deeply saddened at how I was treated in the wake of my Mother's passing, especially in light of the fact the this place had just handled my father, grandson, and brothers final services, also. They have lost my, and my family's, business now. For good. I was screamed at, berated, and told how I had to handle my Mother's services by someone who had no right to say so, and no idea what my Mother wanted. My Mother's final services are being handled by professionals who are proficient in dealing with bereft family members, and are able to properly obtain facts before proceeding with anything. I do not recommend this place, at all, to anyone, because the lack of compassion, understanding, and incapability to properly obtain and verify the facts before proceeding, are not only hampering, but detrimental, to those who are so freshly grieving their loved one.
