This review is not a reflection of the branch, but of Huntington as a whole. This branch is GREAT, I love the staff and they've always done the best they can to help me.
I was a TCF bank member and was forced to switch to Huntington. It's been an absolute mess. My TCF card suddenly stopped working one day, and my Huntington card was still in the mail, so I couldn't pay my bills online or make any card purchases. The Huntington mobile app is completely useless and clunky, with way less usability and features than the TCF mobile app was. They failed to send out notices about which TCF branches would be closing, and failed to leave notices for which TCF banks would be immediately shut down for remodeling. And I've never heard more from a bank the words "there's nothing we can do to fix this." I'm switching to 4front next week and not looking back. That being said, this branch was great, and I feel bad for their employees that they have to deal with so many angry TCF customers.

Kinda sad. I've been with Huntington my entire life. Used to be a very good Bank before all these new changes. First of all they won't let my mother do my banking for me without her name on my account, even after I gave her written consent. So I have to drive 30 Miles out of my way if I want to make a withdrawal. Also when I deposit my paycheck, they only gave me $500 of it and temporarily held the rest, which they have no right to do in the first place. If I needed that money for an emergency I would be screwed. I don't know why they think it's ok to withhold other people's money, That IS NOT theirs to begin with. think I'm gonna pull out and go to the credit union where they don't try to complicate things.

Huntington as a whole has messed everything up since switching to TCF. My account has glitches and has been messed up ever since. If you don't already bank with Huntington don't start now because TCF has turned Huntington into a joke. Its sad I've banked with Huntington since I opened my very first account at 18.

I have been banking with the Petoskey branch of Huntington Bank for last 15 years, am very happy with their service. Whenever I have questions and requests, they were responded in a timely manner. The bank tellers remember customers by their first names and always very willing to help.

I have to highly highly recommend if you are searching for a new bank, check Huntington off your list right now. I set this account up on April 11th. By April 13th, they had taken all my money out and charged me overdraft fees after opting OUT of OD protection upon initial set up of the account. I've had to made several calls to this bank and other vendors trying to resolve this situation. One of my disputed charges was from Hulu. I called Huntington. I asked why my account was over-drafted, when I didn't sign up for overdraft protection. She informed me that can take a week or more to go into affect. That would have been nice to know when I opened the account. She informed me I had to wait until it could go into affect and call back. Which I do. I'm then told "I'm not eligible for a refund." The woman recommended I call Hulu, to see if they would reimburse me for the overdraft fee Huntington charged me. Mind you I haven't even received my debit card in the mail yet, that's how new this account is. 3 days into this and I've already had more problems with this bank than I have had with any credit union or bank since I began working 10 years or so ago. Finally, I call and speak to a gentleman, who once I explained the situation, put me on a brief hold, came back on and happily issued a refund for the $23 I was wrongfully charged. Bringing my account to $15 in my savings, and $28 in my checking. I check the account again today, April 18th, 2018 and see that all the money from my savings had been moved to my checking account without my permission, and I somehow have ended up with an account balance of $6.73 in my checking. When I check the statement history, there is no record as to where my money went, other than to and from overdraft fees, that I should have never been charged to begin with. I'm currently awaiting a resolution or response from this bank, however given how things have gone thus far, I don't expect things to play out in my favor. All I can tell you, is that if you want to avoid a massive headache, calling companies back to back and being so frustrated you're almost reduced to tears, then avoid this bank. Keep your money in a sock under your mattress. It's MUCH safer there, than it is in their hands, they've made that abundantly clear, by completely mismanaging the $20 I opened the account with. Do not put your faith and money into this bank, you will immediately regret it!!!
