306 Howard St, Petoskey“My favorite shop in downtown Petoskey. The staff was so friendly too which made for a wonderful experience. I loved the gift options available at this store. I wanted to buy so many things but alas settled on a lovely picture book and two beautiful mugs for our souvenirs.
We will definitely be back- truly loved most everything in your store.”
“If you were born in Michigan or are smitten by the mitten state, Grandpa Shorter’s shop will take you back. The array of products is unique, beautiful, fairly priced, and a joy to receive (and to give!). The Petoskey stone selection never disappoints, and you owe it to yourself to do some Christmas shopping here too. Enjoy!!!”
“I walked into this shop.. to contemplate a divorce. Walked out a changed woman. Flora Bae Home is brimmed abundantly full of earthy and worldly items, beautifully curated by the one and only Natalie Bae Lauzon. Don’t forget the friendly atmosphere of her staff to boot. Went to a summer event she hosted 6 months later for a free book signing, sips, and snacks. This is an all around magical must stop for gifts, home decor, and inspiration.✨✨✨might even get the courage to leave your spouse and pursue and art/design career — who knows…”
“One of my favorite stores to visit in Petoskey! So many lovely items and a kind and helpful staff. I discovered a quality issue with a product I bought a few weeks ago and was so pleased with the kindness from the employees when I brought it to their attention. I had a swift and satisfactory resolution. The top- notch customer service is so appreciated! Thank you.”

305 E Lake St, Petoskey“Very lovely shop. This was the first store we ended up stopping at in downtown Petoskey today. A few of their coasters and artwork is from City Bird in Detroit too, which was funny - I have been there before (and that's a nice shop as well). I bought a corgi pin for $2 here (I love corgis) and wanted some of the prints/artwork too, but they were a bit pricey. They also have earrings/jewelry and a nice selection of Petoskey and non-Petoskey related gifts. The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars and not 5/5 is because they obviously have a bathroom, and it says OUT OF ORDER, but my guess is that it's not (where else would the employees go?) and perhaps that's COVID-related ... which is fine, but maybe just put EMPLOYEES ONLY instead. We went next door to Grandpa Shorter's and the employee there recommended the public bathrooms to us, so we took a bit of a hike down the street to the lake instead (pro tip: next time just go next door to the bookstore, they have one in the basement!). So yeah, I was a bit disappointed by that ... I could be totally wrong on this speculation but I've seen other businesses do that too. Other than that, very nice shop and they have super cute stuff, so I'd return next time I'm in Petoskey.”
“Justin was so helpful when we found issues with the gifts we purchased. You can only get this kind of service from local business owners who value their customers!”
“Great pottery items as well as garden and outdoor furniture and decorations. Happy 43rd anniversary to Sturgeon River Pottery!! Glad to have been part of about half of that.”
