Bad experience turning ski. Not a honest shop. They tell you the job can be done within a weekend and you drive 50 mins to pick up on Monday find out they did not do anything to it yet.

Nice selection. Overpriced, but what ski shop isn't these days? It was easy to spend $800 on two coats.

They do not make you feel welcome at all! They are hovered around the front counter and almost make you feel like you are intruding if you need help or ask anything. Also… the temperature in there is crazy hot (in the winter).
I try to support local but just do not feel welcome here. ?

We came in here after a rough day on Nubs Nob with some snowboarding equipment, and staff was super helpful. The guy that helped us was super knowledgeable about both skis and snowboards, and helped us get into some brand new equipment on sale! Happy we stopped in here, and excited to try out the new equipment tomorrow!

This place has nice clothing for sports activities. Winter and summer. A variety of skis and snowshoes. Friendly staff and convenient to downtown and the bike/walking trails.

Great selection of options for golf, ski, snowboard etc... great customer service. Prices are a bit high, but to be expected in Northern Michigan for this type of gear.

I brought both of my kids in to buy new ski boots. They were busy, and I was 3rd in line for fitting. I completely understood waiting for a half hour, I watched the salesman with the two gentleman in front of me and was impressed with his knowledge of ski boots. About the time he was wrapping up with the first gentleman, a new customer walked in and sat down on the bench to get fitted. I didn't think anything of it, until another sales girl walked over and started helping him. I explained that we were there first and waiting for a long time and she blew me off. She said someone would be with me soon. I left, went to Websters Ski shop and was promptly taken care of. I am going back this week to buy new skis. I will NEVER come back to Boyne Country.

Most gear was over-priced and the few people on staff working when we visited did not seem interested in helping customers so we went next door and were helped right away.

My daughter went into Boyne country sports to get a winter jacket. She wanted to support a local business, rather than ordering online. She is a young adult and spent just under $300 at their store, which is a lot for a self supporting college kid. They told her that they would order it and give her an update on when it would come in. She waited for a week and called to check on the status of the coat. The gentleman who answered the phone was very rude. He told her he needed a model number of the coat for him to check on it. She tried to tell him that she didn’t have the model number because she looked at a picture and the order was written down. As she tried to explain that she had already paid for it and they would have the information, he kept interrupting her and proceeded to tell her that he has a lot of customers and was too busy to help further. I called back for her because she was very upset and the woman I spoke to was kind. She said she would give my daughter an update. Another week and a half went by and no one called. She called there again and asked if she could please have her money back so that she could get a coat elsewhere. Since it had been 2 1/2 weeks with no update and no coat. They told her they had no record of her ever having paid them anything. She has a receipt and it was charged to her card. Rather than continue to run circles with them, I encouraged her just to contact her credit card company. It has been very disappointing for her to have spent that much money and have to chase down information about when her item would arrive. To then be told they have no record of the sale. Probably the worst part is that she has been treated as a nuisance.

Went in to spend some gift cards, once I got upto the counter I handed my stuff over and the cashier rings me up. Another man with glasses comes up behind the counter and starts being the biggest a-hole he could be. For no reason, literally yelling over me saying my cards are no good. Long story short, terrible customer service and a lack of gracious professionalism.
