We had a family of 4, ranging in age from 8-54. This river was fun for all of us! Karen was so friendly and welcoming - made me wish I lived closer so we could be best friends! We would highly recommend!

When me and my family shop up at place we met very energetic women, she explained everything told, drove us to destination.If you looking for not commercial place with a lot people that’s your place, just only you and nature. River making a lot turns is really lazy is place when you can enjoy nature , bird watching and singing. We definitely will be back

Great excursion. Called in the morning and was able to reserve two canoes for the same day. Very efficient service. Reasonable pricing and close to townOwner friendly and easy-going. Pleasant trip. River shallow in most areas and slow current. Very winding and narrow in spots. Would book again.

Definitely the best place to go kayaking if you're in the area! The lady who owns it is also so sweet, and pleasant to talk to! Third time kayaking through them, and it's always been a great experience!

We have been to many liveries and this was by far one of our favorites, the check in process was quick and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. It is a calm river so you do need to paddle, and it does take longer ( 2 hour trip took 4 hours). The 2 hour trip was definitely worth it though, as the first half was so serene and secluded. I wouldn’t recommend this river if you are looking to party and float , but if you are a couple or a family looking for a quiet river to navigate and enjoy nature this is definitely the place for you. Thank you for making our day, we could tell you love what you do, and that you love helping people enjoy the natural surroundings.

Nice experience. The Bear is a slow current and varies between width. No portages but one small beaver dam to muscle through but no big deal really. The two hour float is alot longer than you think so get paddling. Three bridges to go under (two culverts). If you're lucky you'll have a heron to guide your way.

BEST experience! The owner was amazing. So friendly.... in her 50’s like us ... loaded, drove to destination, unloaded kayaks (on her own) all while chatting and being the warmest guide. Don’t miss this “family owned” precious experience. A Petoskey “must”☀️

Great canoeing experience! We did the one hour float and it was a great way to spend some time while up here on vacation. We didn't have any issues with bugs and no portaging on the one hour trip. The owner was very welcoming and gave great instructions.

Great small-town livery with spotting service if you have your own kayaks. Scenic paddle on a slow section of the river. BYOB, sunscreen, and snacks. (No supplies/store on site)

Had a great time kayaking, it is a beautiful and clean river, could easily see the bottom. Lots of twists and turns which made it fun for us. Also very easy to setup our trip, friendly staff.
