“This store is perfect for that last minute idem that you need. There's a nice selection of products that are smaller and cheaper than big box. And it's right down the street from where I live. Bonus!!Seasonal stuff rotation with the season. And new stuff all the time. Always a quick store to stop at sometimes faster than gas station.”
“This is one of the best Dollar Generals out there. They don't always have my water flavorings in stock though. But the staff are usually friendly and I usually find what I need here. Their clearance aisle also is worth checking out. And they're usually good about customers using the restrooms.”
“This dollar tree was alright. It's got your typical items but I also noticed that it carried quite a few name brand things I hadn't seen in other stores, such as green edition by Maybelline lip sticks. Had other nice things as well. Just hope they do not continue raising prices, it's not really dollar tree when items are more than a dollar. However, they are either severely understaffed, or just do not take care of anything. There were numerous uboats in the aisles, items in disarray everywhere, and I could not find a basket for my items when I first entered. Found a random one but it should not be that difficult I don't think. Overall, decent products.”
“I'm adding this review to the Portage Ave. store. Not very often do you go into a DG and have not one but all the staff great you and ask if you need help. The people working Saturday January 6th, day shift around 12:-1pm were all so helpful. The store was nice, clean and well stocked. Also something you don't see often at a DG. I am sure this company doesn't have great reviews but I wanted to give credit where credit was due. I have another DG that is closer to me, but from now on I will only go to this one. Management should be very happy with their staff and give them some kudos.”

“Just fine, no issues, besides I think they need a bigger building, they have a lot of variety in a tight spaces, with displays everywhere making it a little more difficult to maneuver around from aisle to aisle, but other than that, it's a very clean & friendly store, with very helpful & courteous employees, who stay busy throughout the day...”

“Remodeling to put a $tree next door. Prices are way up since I was there 6 months ago. The spice selection is amazing and they have the gravy packets that I have used for decades. I buy meat there as well. I'm glad they are still in business.”
