Bill Pay account with Advia-I will be closing ASAP. One of my loan payments didn't go to Arbor. Emailed Advia, got a reply back that made no sense. Plus there was no notification that I even got a reply. Bill Pay showed the loan was paid, yet the $ never cleared my account. Called Arbor. They didn't get the payment. I spent 2 plus hours on the phone with Advia, their Bill Pay Service & Arbor trying to get this cleared up. I don't write the check, it comes out of Bill Pay and then it clears my account when the lein holder cashes it. My last call with Advia I was told to stop payment, I would have to pay $32. I said no-I didn't write the check, I didn't lose the check,& I am not paying a fine. When Cassandra (supervisor?) called me back she went over what had happened & reiterated that I would have to pay a stop payment fee. I said no. She sounded surprised. Not sure what Abigail had told her about why I wanted to speak with a supervisor. Finally with an air of condescension she said that JUST THIS ONE TIME, they would waive the stop payment fee. WOW isn't that nice of ADVIA to back up THEIR service. DO NOT USE BILL PAY-if there is a problem ADVIA will try to put it back on you.

Kristi Plenty does not respond to inquiries. I applied for a loan, sent a slew of questions in an email, received no response, then had her call to threaten to deny my loan because I didn't have enough income *eye roll*. Of course it did not look like I had enough income, as she did not answer the questions I had about what to send over. The whole process was bad and I was just approved elsewhere.

The worste bank I have found. They have some nice tellers but overall very rude. We had in issue with my daughters account and because I had not switched her to an adult account when she turned 18 2 month previous They took money out of my account. She literally when into my account and said, " you have enough money in your account you will be okay." It should never matter how much I have its my money i know where i stand. But i still dont want money taken from my account with out reason

Do not use this bank. I’m not even a member and they “withdrew” double the money I was trying to receive from their ATM and only received the second transactions worth of cash. Still no refund on MY MONEY. Negative stars if I could.

I just want to say that Mary Cruz is the women you want to do business with. She's very personal and very helpful. She told me what I needed to get for my loan. I would refer her to my friends and family.

I like Advia Credit Union. They have provided us good service in the past. However, my dissatisfaction is that they outsource their mortgage department to a 3rd party, “Mortgage Center” out of Southfield, MI. It honestly has been the worst experience (still working with them) and I have to hold Advia responsible for selecting them as a provider. It has really soured my perception of Advia. If you need a mortgage or refinance, be aware that you are not working with Advia.

I opened an Advia credit card account to transfer debt. Two of the checks they sent were never cashed by the receivers. I was told this while on the phone with an Advia rep. I have called, I have emailed, and I am still paying off the debt twice. Once on my orginal credit cards, and again with the 'transfered' amount on my Advia card. All credit unions were closed so I couldn't meet face to face with an Advia rep at the time. I now live in another state. This is extremely upsetting, and I tried to resolve the situation before leaving this review. They have shown 0 interest in fixing this problem. ***My credit card statements show that the checks were never applied to my accounts***

One bonus star for their rates. If you have a mortgage or car loan, you'll be working with "The Mortgage Center" and/or "The Insurance Center", not just Advia. The coordination between Advia and the other two companies is terrible. Switching insurance is normally a seamless process, but here I am three months later coordinating things between my insurance agent and Advia's so called partners. They didn't pay my insurance company, so my homeowner's insurance got cancelled. My auto insurance is still not verified and I'm getting charged non-insurance insurance by Advia, because somebody never updated my mailing address and put in my personal phone number as the insurance agent's. I will be moving things out of Advia as soon as humanely possible, which will take months. Absolutely not worth banking with them.

It all started with a missed call from Advia, stating that I needed to call back the credit union and failed to state a reason (which is always a cause for concern). After unsuccessfully trying to return the call several times, and leaving numerous voice mails, I got no response for two anxious weeks. Finally, the representative returned the call, barely understandable as it seemed the call was interrupting a breaktime and was eating through the call, said they were calling about an opportunity to transfer a loan from another provider for a significant reduction in the interest rate due to a promotion. Not exactly the call I was expecting from this nondescript voicemail, but who doesn't like to save money, so I decided to entertain the offer. After spending a few days gathering all of the information, and not being able to verify the exact interest rate or even an estimate, the representative moved ahead and applied for the loan. When I received the loan details, it came in more than a percent higher than my current loan, more than 3x what they said they were going to offer! I don't much appreciate the professionalism in which any of this was handled, or a company that resorts to bait and switch with false marketing to try and draw new business. This isn't the first time I've had poor customer service with this company, as when applying for the initial loan that brought me to Advia, I struggled getting a representative that was able to follow through with the application process and provide timely service. It seems that this credit union has some improvements to make in their customer service department. It's really a shame, as Advia has a very good online banking system and good rates typically, but I can't stand for this level of customer service and I will be looking elsewhere in the future.

God help you if your spouse ever passes away. They threatened to repo the vehicle even though I was paying on my personal credit card every month to keep the loan current. They refused to let me use the money that was being taken from my checking account (not with their bank) and deposited into the savings account there set up specifically for the loan. Even after I produced Personal Representative papers from probate and a death certificate, every time I called they would start in with the "We don't have the proper documentation" bull. They continued to pull funds from my checking account AFTER the loan was satisfied after they told me they'd stop payments (had to set up a stop payment with my bank to the tune of $40) refused to send me release of lien documents (was told they DO NOT email them, waited 4 weeks for them to arrive via snail mail, when nothing showed up I called again and magically the docs were sent that day via email) and then was told they couldn't shut down the account over the phone ( the closest location to me is 97 miles away) but then upon calling again (think I'm on a first name basis with all their phone reps!) I got them to close it through DocuSign. Come to find out, they didn't sweep all the funds from the savings account to be applied to the remainder of the loan before I sent payoff, so there's a nice amount of cash just sitting there as a cherry on top. DO NOT EVER USE THIS CREDIT UNION FOR ANY PURPOSE!!!

I come to the sprinkle road location only. Today was unbearable. Never saw this location run so fricking slow. Border line incompetence. 30 minutes for a cash withdrawal with no one in the drive through was stupid.

I have been a member of this bank in Parchment for almost 30 years. I used to believe in the ability of a small credit union to provide better service to it's members. However, I just spent the last 3 months working through a nightmare of a mortgage refinance, because they have contracted out their mortgage support to Mortgage Center who repeatedly failed to respond to emails and did not return phone calls for weeks at a time. As a result, I repeatedly lost opportunities to secure loan rates when they were at lows, which will cost me money for years to come.Additionally, I have found that Advia has some of the lowest interest rates on Savings Accounts in the business. As a result of both these issues, I will be closing all accounts and transferring my money to a financial institution that provides proper returns on savings and has the capacity to handle loans in a professional timely manner even during high demand periods.
