I would give this place 5 stars usually but today an older gentlemen tried to refuse me service. To each their own but please let me explain. I came in with money borrowed because I'm homeless with two children. That said, I often can't find or lose my shoes. I came in with my children to buy food for dinner. The older gentleman who's name I did not get, regrettably, he's a tall gentleman with Grey hair. After I had already grabbed a cart, grabbed my groceries and walked to the cash register, I was told that I was not allowed inside the store without shoes. I respectfully said that I understood the rules and apologized however the money I had was only for food, i couldn't afford shoes also, and I was just trying to get dinner for my kids. I said if my service was accepted still then I would make sure to wear shoes in the future. I was then told that I was being disrespectful and repeatedly the man said he did not have to accept my service. I felt embarrassed and discriminated against. And as I went to pay the man felt the need to remind me that he could refuse me service, which I feel has to be illegal some how sense I was already in the process of paying but I could definitely be wrong? I did not cuss nor call this individual out of his name. I do not understand how me explaining my situation, trying to sympathize with him when he explained he was only doing his job, and not raising my voice nor using foul language is means for refusing me service. I have lived in this area and gone to this store for over 10 plus years. I have had family who worked at this store for years also , with no issues. I do not understand why I was met with such hostility and disrespect from an individual I've had no problems with prior. I understand people have their bad days but I am genuinely struggling in my personal life and meant no disrespect or harm to the store.

I like their sale rack, the chicken salad is great, the staff have been very nice. I often buy fresh vegetables from them instead of going to the big store.

Tried to use my 25 cents off each gallon up to 24 gallons and they told me “they aren’t equipped to the new technology” what the f is wrong w y’all?

I swiped my American Express at the pump. The screen came up asking if I want to put in my phone number to save on gas. I pressed “no” about 10 times. After a couple of minutes of being frozen on that screen, it said to lift nozzle. As I look closer, the pump already selected the most expensive gas. So I put the pump back. Tried printing a receipt but it was out of paper. Pump #2. 2nd visit in a row it’s been like this.
