“Everything in the store is in very good condition. The sales people allow you to shop without bothering you but they are available for questions. Everyone is very nice and the clothing is well organized.”
“Usually a nice experience, prices are reasonable, people working there are polite, they don't offer help with carrying anything out of the store so if you are getting furniture be prepared to carry it yourself. There is a lot of books for book lover and movies and they are on a 2 for 1$ deal unless marked which is pretty nice! Overall satisfied ?”
“The clothing racks seemed a little bare to me, it’s a pretty big store though with lots of other items like furniture and toys. I was happy with what I found and they offer both teacher and student discounts on Thursdays which is super nice.”
“I visited this value world for the first time while in the area and was thoroughly impressed! I frequent some of the other south east Michigan locations and this one stood out to me on size, organization, and cleanliness. I felt like some pieces were more reasonably priced than what I’ve been seeing at other locations as well. I didn’t have time to go check out the whole store so I will definitely be back! “I would kindly suggest the staff check over donations a bit more before putting them out for sale. I came across an old minstrel booklet (blackface memorabilia) while browsing. It was $1.50, so bought it with the intent to keep the Smokey the Bear music sheet stashed inside and send the booklet to the Jim Crow museum at Ferris State once they re-open for donations.
The staff are always very nice here. I really, really hope the nice girl at the checkout counter can see this and know I didn't have any bad intentions purchasing this. I just wanted to send this to the proper place rather than have some unsavory person get a hold of it.”
“I have spent several years looking for a very specific Chanel bag that was only made for one year. I found it doing a google lens search at this shop. I ordered it on Wednesday morning and it arrived Saturday morning. It was packaged perfectly and in even better shape than the description and pictures showed. The price was very fair and they shipped it for free. They emailed all the way through the process. Email to confirm my order, another one when they had it packed and ready for pick up, another when it was picked up, another with tracking, and finally an email when it was delivered. It was a great buying experience. I'll definitely check their website in the future and if I end up in Michigan I'll absolutely visit the store.”
“My daughter and her friends just discovered Plato’s Closet. We don’t live in the area but came from out of town for an event and decided to stop in. While I think $50 for used Lululemon still seems like a lot, we got some really good deals (two hoodies and two shirts for $30). The reason I’m writing this review though is to comment on the staff. The workers were amazing, they were kind and talking to the customers, sharing stories, explaining things extremely well and were so respectful. I’ve never been to a Plato’s Closet where I’ve been so impressed by the staff and how friendly they are. Based on that alone, we will be back when we are in the area!”
