520 Water St, Manistee“As basic as you can get. Some rooms have air conditioning, some don't. The rooms have a view of the river, which is nice. We came with two dogs. Not many hotels take dogs so this is why we stayed here. We walked downtown to eat.Rooms: Basic! Not all rooms have air conditioner. They have a bed, small microwave, outside grill, walkout to the river.Walkability: Can walk to downtown a block away.”

“I was here for the tight lines for troops. Weekend 17/18 May 2024. This was a great weekend. We had a blast. Loved the Super8. Kelly and her staff were awesome!!! The hotel was organized and super clean. Stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were very comfy after a long day on lake michigan. It was pleasant to come back to. The hotel was very quiet with all the veterans and troops!! Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would recommend anyone with a family, solo, or just a weekend trip to definitely stay here, you won't be disappointed. Kelly is great at what she does she checked a bunch of us super fast. Kelly knows how to treat her customers. There is plenty of parking and then some. I would stay again in the near future. The people in Manistee are so supporti ve of the troops a d veterans. Thanks for the wonderful stay, Super 8. A+++Rooms: Very clean and comfy.Nearby activities: Fishing, boating. Beach, parks. Shopping.”
“Great location, nice amenities. As with many historic resorts, it is a little rough around the edges. All things considered, the resort is quite a bargain.
Nearby activities: Nice shuffleboard courts and playground area on PPI grounds. Tennis courts are located at the local high school. Pier jumping is always great fun, as is climbing (and running down!) sand dunes (Angel Slide, Old Baldy, and Abram’s (?) Bluff - QUITE the challenge). Many hiking & biking trails are nearby. Best of all, Arcadia Bluffs golf courses are 15 minutes away. The views from the clubhouse patio and the Adirondack chairs overlooking the 18th green are spectacular!
Safety: The family felt completely safe, both while on PPI grounds and in the surrounding area. Everyone we met was quite friendly and very personable.”
