Hello!Furever Tails Animal Rescue is a great organization that truly wants the best for the animals they take in and work hard to get them homes. We were able to go to one of their adoption events and it was great, got to meet the dogs that were up for adoption and were able to actually adopt a wonderful puppy. I strongly recommend you fill out an application and be honest. Be patient as well and go to the adoption events. The jobs these rescuers have is very difficult. I can only imagine this is not the easiest thing for someone to do on finding homes for pets that have already lost theirs at least once.My wife and I have had the adoption experience where you get no response. But to be honest if their is 70 apps for one dog, and they are talking with 5 serious applicants, you are bound to be overlooked purely because of the volume of applicants. So be patient. Your time will come. Ours did and it took time. So, I glady give 5 stars to Furever Tails because they work hard to find the best homes for animals, and they have to deal with so many hopeful customers that want the same animal. Thank you Furever Tails for the hard work you do everyday! I understand you can't give everyone the same dog.Lastly, donate and participate in the adoption events, it is the best way to get to know the animals, rescuers and just how many people love to adopt. The adopters that are sofa internet surfers will have a hard time being successful.Thank you Furever Tails!

Was treated extremely rude by this organization. Tried very hard to communicate with them in a nice and professional manner, but none of my voicemails were returned or emails responded to. Their adoption process is apparently very confusing, as I was approved to adopt specific dogs through both their website and by email notification, but then the dogs I was approved for would suddenly no longer be available for adoption. I most recently received a text message from someone in their organization when I was inquiring about my approved application for a specific dog stating that I should not have been approved. They even questioned that I actually received an approval and made me send them a screenshot of it. I asked if they could give me a call so I could better understand what happened and they stated that they were too busy. Very unfortunate that they conduct business this way. I would say avoid this organization at all costs but unfortunately the adoptable dogs still need good homes. Hopefully they will reconsider their attitude and treat possible adopters with more respect.

If I could give lower than a 1 star, I would. We found Furever Tails because we were looking for our neighbor's dog who was surrendered. We found out that he was surrendered only a few hours after it happened, and immediately began calling different rescues before we found him online. We were looking for this particular dog because not only did we have a lengthy conversation with our neighbor who told us all about him, but our dog played with him along the fence line, and we knew they got along. We knew our neighbor was sad they had to surrender him and really wanted to make sure he went to a good home. We wanted to be that good home, she wanted us to be that good home after our conversation. We immediately submitted our application, paid the application donation, called our vets so they were prepared to take their call, called our references, and called our leasing manager to add him to our rental agreement. We called, emailed, texted, facebook messaged Furever Tails, and we received a mere 3 responses from them via text. One was to tell me that they're volunteers who have jobs so they wouldn't call me. One was to ask me if my dog was neutered, and the last to say it's their policy states they will not adopt to people who have intact animals. No response however, to my question if i had an appointment confirmation for my puppy to get neutered, if that would work. I specifically stated in my application that I agree with spaying and neutering, and i never said i would not neuter my dog. However, since he is only 7 months old, I had plans to wait until he was a year to neuter him since he is a large breed.Furever Tails simply ghosted us with no empathy or care for the special circumstances we were in, and why we were trying so hard to bring this dog home. Especially because we know the grooming requirements, the exercise requirements, are a young active household that would have been perfect for him. We already knew that he would get along with our dog, we knew what he likes and dislikes, his fears, his habits, the training he still needed, and what kind of activities he likes. They couldn't even tell us they decided to place him with someone else. The lack of communication is horrendous, even for volunteers who have other jobs.If you're looking for a pet, simply look elsewhere because you won't find responsive, caring people here who are willing to help you.

Sorry to see the bad reviews here because my experience was nothing short of wonderful. We were at the pet event at Canterbury Village to get an idea of what breed, age etc we were wanting as our lady beloved dog had passed away 8 months ago. We had no hopes of adopting because I had seen how difficult it can be making contact with other rescues. And then it happened, we came gave to face with our new fur baby. As I said, we were not anticipating adopting on that day but the rescue volunteer went above and beyond to make it happen. There was no judgement or rudeness. She simply asked for our vets name and number so she could verify that our last dog had good care. Once she made the phone call, everything was up from there. She let us take the puppy for a long walk, went over all the medical issues, gave us medications, extra food and even a nice leash to get home. She had also pre booked our puppy's spay appointment. I wasn't prepared and didn't have enough cash so she took a check. I honestly can't say enough about this rescue. By the time we returned from our walk, she had already moved another dog into our puppy's crate and was actively looking for a nice home for that one. I fully understand why rescues now to be diligent with possible adopters and maybe some of them give other rescues a bad name but this rescue absolutely had only one mission in mind... finding a loving home for a dog. We stopped at the local pet store on the way home and loaded up on toys, snacks, food, crate, leash and even a few cute outfits. My home is now overrun with toys galore and a happy bouncing puppy that has filled our home with love. She also told me that if I had any issues I was welcome to call her at any time. She did say that it's difficult to answer calls so just text or email so maybe that's what happened to other posters. This woman is busy, finding homes for pets that have been abandoned or unwanted so it's understandable that answering the phone might not be so easy. I would not only adopt from them again, I highly recommend them as well if your looking for a pet. My Ellie Mae (A.K.A. Addie) has filled our home with love. Give this rescue a chance, you won't be sorry.

Applied to foster-to-adopt a puppy on their website 2 weeks ago, I left a voicemail and emailed and was looking forward to talking with them but never heard back. I hope this isn’t how they handle every application they receive for their dogs in need of a good home.

We are so grateful for Furever Tails Animal Rescue!Rolo has been the sweetest, most loving boy and everything we were missing in our lives. Jill was a phenomenal foster mom to him and took such great care of Rolo before we were able to give him his forever home! We cannot thank everyone enough for the quick responses, their professionalism, and how much they care for all of their animals. They assure their animals are going to live a happy life outside of the foster home and that is truly so special. We appreciate everything they have done for us and highly recommend adopting a furry friend from them!?

Recently my wife and I decided to welcome another forever pet into our home and decided to submit an application. During our wait to receive follow up questions .. we viewed another pet online at a breeder and purchased him in another state ( Ohio ) and brought him to our ( his ) forever home. Some critical reviews of Furever Trails posted captured our attention .. BUT .. we know that establishments such as this have ONLY the welfare of their animals in mind. Patience and virtue always prevails .. we hope applicants that are wishing to adopt here have those qualities and also love in their hearts for their first ( or next ) pet. After our experience here .. tho only through online communication .. we wish only blessings for Furever Trails and the people that work there for striving to help the animals entrusted in their care to go to their forever homes. During their hopefully short time here .. we are certain that they are showered with attention.. love .. and care and KNOW that their part time guardians are working hard to find them THEIR perfect forever home. Even though we didn’t adopt here .. we will make yearly donations to help fund their work in their quest to help their speechless animals as we have for our other rescue pets. Pay it forward.

Took a week to respond to an email/application that I sent in, after making posts on social media about the dog still being available I sent a follow up email just looking for a response a yes or no answer, wouldn’t have been disappointed if it was a no. (Which is was) as we’re actively looking for a dog to adopt we have passed on putting in applications on other dogs at other shelters because we were very interested in the dog we applied for here. It’s just upsetting you’re actively trying to adopt a dog out on social media but can’t respond to people who put in applications.
