I am so thankful to Dr. Desana for giving me an extra 2.5 years with my baby with congestive heart failure. He saw her initially for coughing and fluid in his heart, and she did such a good job with helping us manage his condition and his medication. The practice is so good with taking the time to talk things through and explain what's going on and the next steps. They aren't super expensive either.

After having a chest xray at our primary vet for constant coughing we were told Rufus has an enlarged heart. I called EVERY cardiologist within 3 hours of me and no one could see Rufus until 2024 (it was mid October when I called) cardiology consultants put Rufus on a cancelation list. By some miracle someone canceled a Monday appointment and I was called Friday to see if we wanted it. We took the appointment and got his echocardiogram done where we were told the worst news (but expected) Rufus's heart is only squeezing at 8 (normal heart squeeze strength is 30-50)Dr. DeSana was amazing at answering our questions and telling us this sad news in a very professional, empathic, caring way. Never made me feel bad for crying. Rufus was put on vetmedin and lasix. I had questions a few times since Rufus's October appointment, including scheduling a recheck. And every single time I emailed I got a response within hours (if emailed during business hours) if not was emailed back the very next day. I couldn't be happier with the communication. We go back early January for a recheck. I am so so thankful for Dr.DeSana and Veterinary Cardiology ConsultantsTHEY ARE ALSO ONE OF THE CHEAPEST CARDIOLOGISTS!!!Blue pearl quoted me $900 for echocardiogram/consultationOvrs quoted $600-700Cardiology Consultants $495 + 2 weeks of vetmedin came out to $522

Dr DeSana and the staff at Veterinary Cardiology Consultants are amazing!! You and your pet are so welcomed. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. You are not rushed.They take the time to talk with you and show you how to care for your pet.Dr. DeSana is brillant with a wonderful personality! I know that we are in the best hands!

If I could give negative stars I would. Brought my dog who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure here. Spent $1000 to be told she doesn’t only to find out she does and now is dead because she has been without the proper medication she has needed for the last year. I should never have put my trust in one persons opinion. I can never get my pet back but it’s nice to know I spent $1000 for your to accelerate her death. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL KILL YOUR PET.

The staff were very nice and took great care of my pet! I brought her in for an echo and we went straight to a room and they took her back right away. Dr. DeSana came in shortly after and was very nice and very thorough. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them!

I made an appointment for my dog when I was called and told that there was an opening the next day. I needed to reschedule the appointment so that I could ensure funding was in place to pay for services. I was told that I would could no longer seek services from this practice because of the last minute cancellation. I am a healthcare provider myself, and I would never to a patient away if they were trying to secure funding for the services I provide. Empathy drives every decision I make for my patients; it is a core belief and quality of my practice and if anyone who worked for my practice, ever demonstrate this level of selfishness (to completely turn away a patient who needed to be seen), corrective action would be taken immediately. It is the most disappointing service I have ever received. I'm glad you care about the pets of our community, but clearly, your financial bottom line takes an enormous priority over empathy!

We could not be happier with the level of personalized care & compassion we have received from Dr. DeSana & Julie & their entire staff! They have worked with our regular vet when our dog Harvey was first diagnosed with degenerative valve disease, treated him over the years as it progresed (as the disease does) up to when he recently presented with the early stages of CHF to get him stabilized and on a medication protocol to help manage his heart problem & get him feeling better. They continue to be available & proactive in Harvey’s care & treatment. Don’t hesitate to trust them with your pet’s heart health. They’re the best!

Highly recommend! Dr. Desana and Julie have always been so amazing with my dog Summer and patient with me and all of my questions. They genuinely care about the animals! The whole staff is kind, and they always get me in and out quickly which is nice because my pup is extra stressed at the vet.I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for me and my pup and the extra time we have gotten with her because of the knowledge and proper care they administer. 10/10 ! Thank you VCC for being so awesome!

I can guarantee that they are the gold standard in cardiology. Dr. DeSana and her staff are true angels, some of the best people I have ever met. Don't be late a second or you'll be charged a ridiculous amount of money ! I was late 15 mins due to 2 major accidents on the freeway getting there. They added a $50.00 late fee to my bill. REALLY ??? Even though I waited for the Doctor 20mins at my prior appointment and wasn't reimbursed $50.00 for her being late, GREEDY !

Arrived 15 mins late due to 2 truck accidents on the freeway. I was charged a ridiculous late fee of $50.00 . Seriously !!! I waited for the Doctor 20 mins at my previous appointment and I wasn't reimbursed $50.00 . This was over reaching and very GREEDY ! Like they don't make enough money !!!!

Knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They take the utmost care of pets and owners! My dog was not nervous at all and they were able to complete his heart ultrasound. They thoroughly explained what they found and possible treatments. They seamlessly liaise with our vet to give the most thorough care. The facility is very clean as well. Overall great experience and would return if we need a follow up. Highly recommend!!!

My cat had a possible blood clot and needed an echocardiogram asap. I called multiple locations and every office was booked out for months. Veterinary Cardiology Consultants got me in within three weeks. I couldn't be happier with how accommodating and professional this office is! They gave my cat great care and were extremely thorough with his exam and explanation. Tabitha carefully listened to my concerns, took note of all my cat's symptoms and even went the extra mile to check his paws for any injuries (he had developed a limp, which luckily wasn't due to a blood clot after all). Dr. Brown was equally great, answering all of my questions and helping me understand heart health in cats. I can't recommend this practice enough for any cardiology needs!

I was very pleased with my first experience here. My Yorkshire Terrier, who is 12, who diagnosed with congestive heart failure at an emergency vet. So about a month later, we came here so he could be checked by a cardiologist. During our visit, he saw Dr. DeSana who is extremely knowledgeable and caring. After an Electrocardiogram it was determined that Artie didn't have CHF but rather a heart murmur. Dr. DeSana was thorough with her explanation of findings and clarified them on paper so I could share the news with my husband. She also made it clear that if he begins experiencing any heart related issues, I need to call them asap and they will try their best to help over the phone. I really like this as the appointments are costly. We will visit Dr DeSana again in July and hopefully I will have the same great review.
