Would honestly rate them 0 stars if I could! My husband's phone crashed & wasn't picking up his SIM. We were thankful to have been paying for insurance forYEARS on this phone. He has always kept it in an Otterbox & the battery in good health. I would say it was in EXCELLENT condition. We had to make a claim & were sent one phone (same phone) & he had to update it from 2020 (We got it in 2023). After taking hours for the updates he makes a call & the speaker doesn't work, can only use the phone on speaker. I called to request another be sent only to get that one & the back camera was broke. He drives an hour each way to work so he decided that wasn't a big deal as long as he had a phone that worked in case of emergency going to or from work. Now fast forward to maybe 3 months later the phone speaker has no quit working AGAIN & he only has speaker phone. Canceling my insurance & will eat the price of a new phone instead of wasting my money each month for this "insurance".

Not pleased with this service which I purchase through my cellular carrier. Contract says they will supply a like-new refurbished replacement device for the one covered in the plan. They don't guarentee it will be the exact same, but similar or better. when my original and mint condition phone was stolen, I put in a claim. Paid $299 (ontop of the $10 x 1.5 years) and got a replacement in 5 days. The first replacement had non-original apple parts, so the screen lacked features like 120hz, 1,000 nits, or True Tone. This in addition to a battery health of only 92%, and scratches on the frame around the lightning port. And so I requested a different replacement, asking that it adhere to their promise of "like-new". The second phone arrived and was equally used; lower battery health, scratches.. At least this one was all original as far as I could tell and was simply a 'used' phone. So I called again for a final attempt at getting a phone that was properly refurbished to manufacture specifications and equal in condition to the phone that was stolen. Alas, the third phone arrived in solid used shape with a battery health of 90%, scratches all over the frame with micro scratches across the screen, and dirt caked into the speaker grills top and bottom. All three replacements were different colors than my original phone.I will be returning all the phones and getting all of my money back, and using it towards the purchase of a brand new device. One that I will be putting AppleCare onto.If your goal is to get a used-non-refurbished phone to replace yours, then this is a fine protection service to be paying for. If you expect them to send you a phone that matches the condition of your current phone, this is not the service for you.

Definitely look into other cell phone warrant to company. They said that when I got a new phone, it would be a like new refurbished phone. They gave me a phone with the wrong Carrier on it. Then said that there was nothing that they could do. Just awful look before you buy.

We had this cell phone insurance for about three years. For the first phone we had replaced it was a 150 dollar deductible and fairly pain free experience. The second replacement is the reason for the negative review and complaint. At first we had an awful time contacting them. Over a week before we were able to contact them. When we did they had raised the deductible to 200 dollars which wouldnt be as annoying if the phone new wasnt only a 250. Additionally when you consider their monthly fee, they profited quite well off our service and it wasnt exactly insurance at that point. But despite me failing to do my due diligence on shipping prices before paying the deductible, they clearly sent us a phone that had previously been broken and turned in to them. It had someone elses name attached to it to begin with and since receiving it, it has given us constant issues, ghost phone calling people, not reading the sim, and the screen not functioning properly. If you do the math their service shouldnt exist, save your money rather than paying a premium to have a broken phone replaced with a broken phone. I would never recommend them to anyone for this.

After a terrible experience with another company, I decided to buy insurance from here instead as soon as I was able to. The difference between the two is staggering. Overall I’m happy I made the switch.

They’re legit. Totally upfront about all their rules and what to expect. Will be purchasing a warranty through this company again when the time comes.

They're hit or miss, sometimes they send you the wrong size device(happened to me a few times). But they express order and shipping is well worth the extra $20. Always ask them to rush the order and fast shipping.

Giving this company 5 stars because they replaced a faulty phone they initially sent as a replacement. I appreciate it when companies can take responsibility for their faults.

Promptly was sent a replacement device, HOWEVER it is NOT new, it was a refurbished device with NON APPLE parts, so the phone keeps alerting due to the knockoff screen being incompatible, etc. Contacted the company they said "it was in the fine print". Also they keep sending me emails saying I was supposed to mail in the broken device, which when I called, they said they had received but their system continues to send threats of $850 fine even tho they said they received the device. Better off using your phone company insurance.

I had a cellphone replaced that took three weeks to get delivered! And once it FINALLY SHOWED UP!I turn it on i was able to update and put my Apple ID and everything on and used it for a total of six hours before the screen went completely blank out of nowhere. A supposedly certified device fails in less than SIX! Hours! Bs . The First Lady i worked with was nice, the second wasn’t bad but the third was unresponsive and hostile. Definitely not using protectcell again.

I have gotten two phones from them. The first one had a broken charger port but it was usable. I used that for almost 2 years. The second phone was glitchy and had a bad battery right from the start. I called and they wanted to take the phone back without sending me another or send me a new one with a $500 down payment. I declined. I cannot go without a phone and I'm not paying basically $700 on a Note 8. Dealt with that for 3 months. The next software update fixed it. Then my battery exploded! They still wont fix the problem without $500 or me going 2-3 weeks without a phone! I'm over it. Won't ever use them again. Bought a new phone and will do that from now on. It's only $100 more and guaranteed to work.

First of all I just called to cancel my service with them. I lost my phone and submitted for recovery. I was asked to provide information including the IME #. I did provide all the info but could not get the IME # I asked if there was a way they could help me find it. They said no and because I couldn't provide that number they will not be able to replace my phone. I will tell you to run away from their service. They person who received my call to cancel could not even ask why I was cancelling or any thing made me no how less I was valued as a customer. USAA should terminate their contract.

They replaced my mobile device which was ok until I changed my phone operator and discovered that it was locked when it wasn't supposed to. It wouldn't had been such a big problem if my previous operator could unlock it, but it took 6 weeks of back and forth and I was finally told that my device can't be unlocked. Apparently, it's a refurbished device that is locked by a completely different operator (they couldn't help either). Now I'm stuck with a phone that I can't use and ProtectCell is ignoring me. Oh, and I was charged $200 for it (+ 5 years of monthly insurance payments).I figured that their ratings are so low that they don't care if another bad review is added.

I’ve had to replace 3 parts on a phone they refurbished. The battery went bad after about a month of getting it, then the front facing camera and speaker ribbon cable, then the ear piece speaker. As I was replacing them myself, I noticed not one of these parts were authentic apple parts and not supported by apple either. Just some Chinese knock off parts.
