This franchise is a rip off.
I had my transmission fluid changed in Oct. 2022. I went back for an oil change in Oct. 2023 and they indicated I need to have the transmission changed again. At the time I forgot that they had just exchanged the fluid one year before.
I went to a car dealership in April 2025 and they indicated my transmission fluid needed to be change again.
Between Oct 2022 and Oct.2023 I drove the car 18,000 miles. Between Oct 2023 and April 2025 I drove the car 12,000 miles.
Transmission fluid usually last between 60,000 to 100,000 miles between changes.
I went to ask for my money back for the second transmission change and they refused to reimburse me.
This place is a rip off. Do not have any work completed there!

James and Alex were both super kind, and took care of things I know other shops would not have, including replacing my air filter and one of my brake lights. 100% amazing service and it all cost me under 200$, when the filled my washer fluid, tires and coolant as well. Great service, and it took less than 30 minutes for all of it. 👍 huge thumbs up to these guys.

This place is outstanding! I have lived across the street from the Oil Exchange for 21 years and have had many oil changes here on various vehicles. The guys do an awesome job servicing my cars. They are honest, efficient, and go above and beyond to ensure my cars are running great. I have popped in to have my tires filled with air and a top-off of windshield fluid and the crew is always happy to oblige--free of charge! In addition, they help reset my oil light and provide the windshield decal reminders to make my life easier. Keep up the great work.

They don't replace the bolts on the service covers under the vehicle - my two experiences:
1) Found a cover hanging low to the ground under vehicle. Upon inspection there was a broken zip tie where a bolt should have been - this zip tie had to be installed at my last oil change on 2/5/2024 at the Oil Exchange in Novi (no other place has worked on the vehicle).
2) Today 8/30/2024 - (Note - I installed a new metal shield from Ford under the vehicle a few weeks before hand, due to issue #1 and everything was great). At the oil change I asked that they be careful with the new shield and removing the 3 bolts on the access panel. I heard the impact wrench remove three bolts. At the end of the oil change I only heard the impact wrench 1 time. So I asked about it and was told I must not have been paying attention as he heard 3 or 4 impact events. Then he offered to check and came back and said the 3 or 4 bolts were fine. I asked if it was 3 or 4 bolts (I know it's 3). He then offered to let me check it out. So I went into the pit under the vehicle and found 1 bolt tight, 1 bolt installed but very loose, and 1 bolt missing. The young man said it's fine. I had to insist that they install and torque all three bolts. It took some time to find a replacement bolt with the same pitch, but it has a different head size. Then they installed all three bolts with me watching.
I talked to the older man under the vehicle and mentioned my 1st experience (above) and he admitted that they have used zip ties. They seem like nice people, but they don't do a good job and lie about it. This doesn't give me confidence with the rest of the oil change.

When I got home checked my oil. They put way to much oil in my car and they didn't change my oil filter. Now have to do it myself. Lost trust in oil changes. Plus my oil does not look clear. Still slightly tan. Beware.

Steve and James are THE BEST!!! Always friendly, patient and willing to give further explanation if needed. I literally live 4 minutes from the Walled Lake location. I went there one time and was treated horribly! No smiles, no pleasantries. But lots of eyerolls, snide remarks and disrespect. I intentionally go out of my way to see Steve and James. Thank you for taking care of me!!

Don’t know what their doing, put way to much oil in, this can cause serious problems with your engine.
Most modern cars today have much higher precision made engines than in the past. This makes it very important to service it with the right amount of oil. Your owner’s manual will tell you the correct amount. Otherwise you’ll spend 1000s on head gasket or other type of seal or gasket repairs.
