In a word, avoid at all costs. After my father's death, my sister and I hired Navis to pack and ship my half of his things out to California. There was nothing particularly valuable (some antique typewriters, etc.). What there was mostly was the memories of his life -- fragile newspaper pages from his days as a reporter, portfolios of his work from his life in advertising. It's impossible to describe how poorly my father's life arrived in California. Two fragile leather portfolios of his work had just been tossed into the shipping containers--a simple of layer of bubble wrap might have protected them--and they were destroyed when they got here. Ross at Navis asked for a value -- I told him they had no monetary value, they were priceless (but only to us). We're not in the shipping business. Navis is. It was their responsibility to evaluate the material being shipped and recommend a method of shipping that would keep it safe. We're also not in the packing business. Navis is. It was their responsibility to look at the items that were being shipped and figure out the best way to pack them for the journey. Tossing fragile fifty-year-old portfolios loose into a cardboard box wasn't it. If you value what you're shipping, do not use this company. Run away.

Horrible experience. My local UPS store entrusted my URGENT freight shipment to them. It took them roughly 1 week just to box up this one package. The communication was a disaster - nobody picking up the phone. I will make sure our packages never go to these clowns.

This company deserves mores stars, but unfortunately five is the limit. It starts with great service when you call - they listen and provide timely estimates for packing and shipping. They picked up my item - handling it with care to make sure there was no damage. It got back to the main office and the resulting packaging was impeccable.Absolutely use this company for your packing and shipping needs! Thanks V!

I am a small business owner. We build hight end tables and have been in business for over three years. We decided to ship one of our custom made tables with Navis. Terrible experience.The table was damaged during shipping, something that as a furniture maker you expect to happen. However, they did not respond after the damage nor I receive the money for a new table that I had to send to my costumer.Terrible experience. As a small business I do not recommend this company to do business with.

Complete lack of professionalism. The company uses the cheapest carries available. Our company shipped a fine piece of furniture from Grand Rapids to North Carolina. The top got damaged and had to be sent back to our shop in Michigan. In its transit back, they literally destroyed the table and expected us to repair it.

So happy I used Navis for sending some family antiques cross country to Seattle. Ross, one of the owners was just a great guy to deal with. They made a crate for a very delicate chair. Everything was safely packaged and arrived in perfect condition. They were by far the most economical solution. FedEx quote me two and half times as much, and they don't even do the packaging themselves, they outsource it. The packaging and crating is done right at the Navis warehouse. They are the experts by far. Thanks again for a great job Tom

I have used Navis to ship multiple freight deliveries, from full truck to single pallets. Overall they have transported close to 50k worth of equipment for me and all I can say is that I won't be needing any other freight service. This company is owned and operated by a small group of capable folks who are responsive, helpful, and value my interests and deadlines. A++ will ship again. Thanks so much!
