Wanted to buy 2 outdoor ottomans, have to go to warehouse to get them. Choose to go to buy from Amazon. Quicker and cheaper.

Do not let the sale signs and smiling sales faces fool you when you begin your search for a new hot tub. We purchased a Viking Legend II from Watson's of Novi in April 2024. Customer service shines until the sale is made and then good luck. We were told by our saleswoman when we placed the order in the store that delivery and installation is included in the price as well as a starter pack of chemicals (that requires an additional trip to the store to obtain.) The particular model we wanted was not in stock at the time of purchase and needed to be special ordered (4-6 weeks lead time). The hot tub was delivered this afternoon (May 30th) by three guys in a pickup truck with a dolly that had absolutely no knowledge of hot tubs whatsoever, who were actually the most pleasant and professional part of our experience. After calling the store and speaking with Gene several times, we were offered a $250 credit to put towards the installation that was supposed to be included in the price already paid. Gene also provided a list of installers that they typically recommend. After calling all three installers recommended by the store, the lowest price to have the hot tub hooked up is $600 minimum (assuming nothing extra needs to be added aside from standard install) and they are two weeks out for scheduling. We already have the 220V breaker in place, so the cost to install does not include that requirement. When this was communicated to the store, we were told the $250 credit is the best they can do. So we will be waiting another 2 weeks and coming out of pocket another $600+ before we can use our new hot tub. It does make a pretty lawn ornament though. My suggestion to consumers in the hot tub market would be to purchase elsewhere for a slightly higher cost and better customer service after the sale.Update: We did not receive a call from an area manager. However, when I called to ask about the method in which we would be receiving the $250 credit, store manager Amy made the situation right by offering a $600 refund to be applied towards installation costs. "Misunderstandings" such as these ultimately should not cost the customer additional expenses, especially when several clarifying questions were asked prior to purchase and we were told several times that installation is included. I am satisfied with the resolution the store was able to offer.
