We checked in to a dirty hotel room. I mean DIRTY. There were literally pills on the floor... After much argument they agreed to a refund and we left. Sure enough we did not receive a refund and when we called they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. Don't waste your money at this sad excuse for a hotel.

I have stayed here a few times in the past it was never great but the last time I attempted to stay will be the last time I ever return they charged me $116.33 for 2 queen size beds the only reason I needed a room is because our power went out from a storm they never told me they didn't have power or hot water when I tried to get a refund they said I had to wait for the manager to arrive 3 hours later I finally talked to the manager he refused to refund my money said it was against company policy I ended up disputing it with my bank and am now getting the refund in the next 24 to 48 hours this place was scamming people all day most horrible hotel in muskegon as far as I'm concerned. I recommend you find a better hotel.

There is nothing around there and we had to be there because of a power outage at home. They only had part power for about a day . It worked well enough for my papa who is on a breathing machine at night. The breakfast they offer is really neat. I was able to make my papa breakfast myself. Despite the location to nothing and the fact that it looks run down, they keep it very clean. The also have chairs set up outside for smokers thank you for that my papa can't stand for long,it was very helpful. Everyone we seen who worked there were very polite and helpful. They have wonderful workers.

This hotel was unclean and unsafe. There were stains in the beds, the walls, and the carpets. It was gross and not sanitary. The AC was off when we arrived and only had one unit for the two room suite. The staff was unwilling to refund or help with the AC issue. They were only willing to change the bedding. The choice members customers service staff was not able to do much of anything because I had checked in and it was up to the individual owners. Not sure if there are any benefits to being a choice member.

WARNING: This hotel is a scam! The places has roaches, vagrants, and has never been cleaned. The hotel's address is also incorrect. The place is in MUSKEGON HEIGHTS (not Norton Shores). I left 15 minutes after checking in! Donald, the front desk person, refused to issue a refund after the first room had a roach scurrying next to the headboard of the bed. Donald was also rude, aggressive, and claimed to be the "district manager." He moved me to a second room which was actually worse! Insect feces on the bed, signs of a bedbug infestation, stains on the mattress and in the chair, hole in the bathroom door, the smell of smoke in the air, and overall filth where all uncovered by me in the 15 minutes I was in the building. Unacceptable!
Do not stay here! You will be scammed of your money, and there is a high likelihood that you will leave with bite marks or some kind of disease. I have contacted the Michigan health department because this place needs to be condemned. If you have had the misfortune of checking in here and leaving without a refund, I suggest calling choice hotels immediately! They will give you a hard time, but tell them you want a check in the mail or zelle payment. If that doesn't work, call your bank and have them reverse the charge from Clarion. Screw this place and the scammers that run it. This place should be razed.
Rooms: ROACH INFESTED! Never been cleaned. Do not stay at this hotel.

This place is an absolute joke and should not be in business we was there June 8th for an overnight stay and the hotel itself stank like mold and mildew our room the beds has crumbs all over them and stained up pissy sheets which I have proof of when I called the front desk the guy working said nothing can be done I asked for new sheets and they brought them to our room and the so called new sheets were even stained up the room was in really bad shape and the smell was unbearable the bathroom was dirty n smelled like urine bad and had wallpaper peeling off the walls amd burned out lightbulbs in there I would never recommend this hotel for anyone we ended up not staying in the room 138 and sleeping in my truck due to smells and cleanliness this place should not be able to charge people for rooms I called the health department and the state of Michigan when I left there hopefully something is done about this so others can enjoy their stays

The bathroom door was broken and there was no latch so the door never closed. The sheets had stains on them and I could see that they were not washed from the previous use from the way they crinkled, the room had a very strong dank and musky smell. The AC wasn't working properly and when i turned it on there was another horrible smell. The pictures on the website were very misleading are not a true representation of the condition. I only stayed coz it was 3 in the night and I didn't have any other option at that time. I would advice against staying here.

I booked one night while the hot tub and pool were up and running. When I attempted to actually go use the facilities there were children and adults diving into the hot and pool and using flotation devices in the hot tub making it impossible for anyone else to use it. I rebooked the room online while still in bed only to walk out of the breakfast area and see a sign that the pool was closed. I then went to the desk and asked to cancel my reservation for that night as I wasn't paying for amenities that I could not use and would go somewhere else. The employee contacted a manager who said they would take care of it. Instead the charged my card a 2nd time for a grand total of $180. When I went back to the desk to sort it out. They told me they would also refund the 2nd charge but that it would be 3-5 days before I see my money back. They made the second charge without my consent and refuse to do anything to fix the charge and then the manager told the front desk clerk that if I made too much of an issue to call the police on me. I did not raise my voice, make threats or anything. I simply asked to speak with someone higher than the in building manager and they threatened to call the police. This place is a mess. Staff is rude most of the time. Pool is never open. Tvs hardly work (maybe 5 channels on a good night) breakfast is suppose to be served until 10am but they start putting it up before 8am. This hotel is a joke.

Great experience. Our iron had some gunk on it and wouldn't come off, so when I proceeded to go down for breakfast I asked the front desk attendant if I could get a replacement iron for our room and I'll scoop it up when I was finished eating and headed back up to my room. Prior to this when I had left the room to walk over to the front lobby I walked the short route which included me going outside so I can smoke a cigarette ?; well needless to say that the parking lot outside the hotel was trashed with garbage to which I assumed it was from prior customers emptying out their cars instead of putting it in the trash can. So I picked it all up and put it in the trash can myself cleaned it all up made it look presentable. Whether it was my job or not I still lent a helping hand not being asked to do so!

This place is one of the most disgusting, old, run down hotels I have ever stayed. My family and I felt very uncomfortable & unsafe. People were all outside hanging out in the parking lots, roaming the halls and strong smell of Marijuana throughout the place, along with musty,mold smell. Just gross. Attached are some of the photos I took while here. And to the staff: of course you don't see my name in your system. Just know never again. And for everyone else....be aware of your surroundings! Stay at your own risk!

Right near mona lake is great. However, the rooms are filthy and they don't issue a refund "5 minutes after checking in". Air conditioner didn't work, sheets were stained with various substances and had cigarette burns in them. The "hot tub" was as filthy as the floor, bathroom, and sinks. The guy at the desk, Don I believe, was cordial enough and clearly was used to these complaints. He was quick to explain that they don't give out refunds even though we checked out shortly after seeing how dirty the place was. I didn't mind the people loitering in the parking lot, that's not entirely the fault of the hotel.
Rooms: Horrible.
Safety: Questionable.

If I could have left all 0's I would have. The parking lot is full of potholes, there was an extreme amount of trash outside, a trailer in front of the main door, pool empty, foul odor in the lobby, hallways dirty, floors unleveled, room half cleaned just to get started. I was olaced on the 2nd floor after being offered the 1st floor. My air doesn't work I call the front desk she said did you try the wall thermostat ?. I go to the front desk around 4am because I can't take it. He says the computers are locked.
