“My partner and I disagree on how we wants our dogs hair cut. I like it shorter and she likes it longer. Brooke, the very sweet person who groomed our dog, was amazing. She listened to the situation and was able to come up with a hair cut that worked for both of us and he turned out amazing. He's adorable with long scraggly hair but there is nothing like an amazingly blended/trimmed up hair cut to make a dog feel like a prince. Thanks again Brooke! You crushed it!”

"Are you buying anything?!"Very strict about giving small items of samples away to customers.You have to spend so much to receive certain items.My favorite pet store leaves samples out for customers to decide which they want.”

“Love, love, LOVE Hometown Pets! My GSD puppy struggled with allergies so severe that he not only was losing hair, he was also losing weight rapidly. I found a very slim selection of dog food that my puppy was able to eat, however I couldn't find a store that carried it. I called Hometown Pets, spoke with the owner - explained my dogs allergy situation and asked her to order me a very particular brand of dog food, she ordered it that same week, had that very next week - I now get all of my pet supplies from Hometown Pets. Although I have to admit, if you go into the store - go in with a blindfold because she ALWAYS has sales going and they're ALWAYS too good to walk away from.”

“I was amazed at how helpful. The lady was in the store and I don't remember her name. I really wish I did. I got a new puppy and she's four months old but she's huge because she's a Burmese mountain dog. She loves to interact with other people and other puppies but she's huge and she likes to jump on people. She's still in training for that. Anyhow, I went into the store and the cashier asked if she could help me. She did she took me and got me exactly what I what I needed a ball of frisbee and a harness and the prices were very reasonable. The lady was accommodating and very polite and she absolutely loved our puppy. Our puppy played with another little puppy for a short amount of time and then we were out of the store. It was an awesome experience.”

They always greet customers as they walk in and are very helpful. The selection here is better than on Amazon. And I like that they express appreciation for your business. “I bought 2 puppies here. One is a Maltese and I was told that she would get between 4-6 lbs. She weighs over 8 and is healthy weight. I bought a Maltese Shih Tzu mix and was told that she would weigh between 14-18 lbs. She weights 11 lbs and is healthy. I'm glad that they're closer in weight than expected, but I don't think they should be making up their weights when fully grown.”

While we all like specific breeds we truly believe meeting a pup and gelling is the best way to integrate into a family. “Friends from out of town made a birthday visit to my apartment in Northville. They snuck out and bought a gift card at Celebrity Pets down the road. Today (Christmas Eve) my big black cat Barnabas and I went to check it out. We were welcomed with opened arms and given personal shopping help by Shauna. She helped us fit him with a harness that was less restrictive than most his size. Also found a substantial collar and a mouse toy. Highly recommend this business. Ownership has a love of animals and people, and is proud of where their products come from. I'll be back for sure. and so will Barnabas.”
