The service department at Kia was a huge help getting things sorted on my 2021 Kia Soul which was having some major engine issues. Everyone was very helpful, they kept me informed about where things were at in the process, provided a loaner, and generally made this as pain-free as possible.
As a note, I purchased my vehicle at Gurley Leep, and wish I would have purchased it Tyler.
Every time I try to get service at Gurley Leep I'm told it's going to be at least 6 weeks before they can see me, and this was even when I had a check engine light come on. Gurley Leep also doesn't honor service through the extended warranty we purchased at any other dealer within 50 miles, so it's either wait a minimum of six weeks or pay up (things they never told us when we purchased it). Thankfully my issue was one covered by the Kia warranty directly, and that's the reason I was able to get this resolved at Tyler.

My 2023 Sportage was purchased from a friend out of state, but when I needed some service accessory support I was guided to Tyler KIA. From the moment I called them by phone and later walked in their doors I have experienced their welcoming customer service which is difficult to find now days!! Their inventory of new cars is quite impressive also and I have complete confidence in the buying experience I would have when that opportunity arises for me in the future.

The sales experience was just fine but they used very deceptive methods to sell an add on warranty after the fact. I basically ended up paying twice as much as I would have agreed to. I told Kia corporate about this issue and they asked Tyler to respond but Tyler has not reached out.. Seems they don't care.

Brandon Dockham is a rockstar. We’ve been shopping around for 2+ years and never made a purchase because of how shitty the experience has been dealing with any dealer or salesman across Chicago (where we used to live), metro Detroit (where we currently live) or Michiana (where I grew up).
We went to Tyler dealership after two more disappointing visits to dealers in South Bend.
The main difference with Brandon and Tyler Kia overall, was integrity and actual vehicle knowledge. Brandon knew everything about any vehicle we asked about, which has NEVER happened at the 30+ dealer visits and conversations we’ve had over the last few years. There’s not a single question that stumped Brandon. Brandon did make a mistake on what financing Kia offered, but he immediately owned it when he discovered he was wrong, he told me straight up that he made a mistake - which was actually the selling point for me because it showed that he cared more about making sure he’s communicating with integrity more than just pushing a sale.
The negotiation process was also low pressure and, most importantly, super quick. I wasn’t jerked around or ghosted, Brandon followed through on everything and then some.
The last part of the process that I also appreciated, was signing all paperwork with finance. I didn’t want any extra warranty coverage and I mentioned that at the beginning and the finance guy understood. He had to run us through the options per his responsibilities but when I declined, he didn’t ask me “you sure?” a million times like every other shitty dealer.
Overall, Tyler is a great dealership. I bought a car here back in like 2011/2012 and that was a similar experience to this one which is awesome to see such consistency over time. I’d much rather spend my money in my home area but most dealers practices make it hard to do so without feeling like I got hosed. Brandon and Tyler Kia took better care of me as a guy walking in off the street without any prior communication more than any other dealer.
