The combination of Precision Auto and G&G Auto Services saved the day for us. We were stranded on an off ramp (I31), in extreme heat, near Niles. We were towed by Precision Auto to the G&G garage. Our repair involved a few hours, their mechanics stayed late and accomplished the repair so we would not be spending the night in Niles. Excellent service, would recommend. Side note, a nearby Ford dealership was zero help when we called, they declared they were too busy, it would be days before they could assist. We are grateful for the help we received.

Best place to take your vehicle! This shop goes above and beyond to help and they do it fairly. Prices aren't through the roof and they actually care. This shop has all of my respect.

Called these guys for pre-purchase inspection, asked if I should set up an appointment, they said I should be okay, after telling them I was driving 2 hours to see this vehicle. Got to the shop and was told earliest they could do was Tuesday (this was a Friday).
Very disappointed, if you can’t help me when I explain my situation on the phone, just say so, I’d understand that completely.

These guys are good mechanics and you couldnt ask for better people. My Buick Century is frankly not worth fixing, but shes all I have and I cant afford a new one or to be without a car right now. These guys are honest, patient, and kind to a fault. Theyll explain whats wrong, what she can do without, and are willing to help you work out what can be done in your budget. Are their prices low? Most of the time yeah. Is the labor they do and the honesty worth any discrepancy in cost between them and other shops? Absolutely. They dont just get in there and do what you ask about, if they find another problem, they tell you flat out. Had another local shop not even tell me that I had an entire part, a fairly important one (a sway bar) missing altogether from my vehicle. These guys immediately pointed it out, looked her over for other issues, and are always honest when theres nothing truly wrong with her but old age. They dont try to convince you to get every last thing fixed, and when they saw the awful condition of her undercarriage (almost 20yo car in the Midwest, lots of rust) they were honest that shes not worth a lot of repair cost and said they personally would drive her locally until she falls apart (which shes doing now) and when you come in with an odd issue, they have more than one mechanic test drive it to see if one spots an issue the first one didnt. All in all, I love this shop and the people who work there. Their patience and honesty is worth more than any big name shop who prioritize speed over quality.

I had this company change out my transmission with a new one. They left bolts loose on the transmission, didn’t have any lock tight on any of the bolts. They didn’t even put the bolts back in for the transmission mount. Would not recommend to anyone very sloppy work!Service: Transmission

My vehicle is very old and very much a beater. These guys were completely honest about what they found (or didn't find in the case of my missing sway bar) and about if she's drivable and what we can do to be safe, since pouring more money into her may not be worth it with the state of her frame. They didn't push repairs on me, they didn't tell me to junk her, they just said they would still drive her in town themselves and that they'd tell me if they wouldn't drive her, and just to be careful with her and to call them if we need anything! I would bring this car and any future cars back to them in a heartbeat!

Do not recommend! Went to these guys not too long ago to have a fuel pump fixed. They put the metal cover on backwards, fuel pump was put in backwards and bent which made the fuel pump ineffective after so long, obviously. Customer service was also horrible, find a real mechanic these guys are not it.Service: Brake service & repair

I do not recommend this shop. I have drilled and slotted rotors on my car, which are directional. They installed them on the wrong side of the car, causing unnecessary wear. They also completed an alignment on the vehicle, which was also incorrect. Causing uneven wear on the front passenger tire. I ended up having to spend more money at another shop, which they said the camber wasn't set correctly. The owner cussed at me and continued to accuse me of not knowing what I was talking about. Though I was a motor transport operator for the Marine Corp, completing PM's on trucks, a tire technician for a tire shop and a certified diesel mechanic. The owner is very disrespectful.Services: Wheel alignment
