Definitely not a family park. More for partying. They do not by any means inforce quiet hours people playing music, yelling dogs barking none stop.
Absolutely miserable here if your not use to living in the city.
Not to mention the tree worms absolutely everywhere and in everything I never seen so many at once before.

I did part of the dragon trail here. Very well kept and labeled clearly. Remember you are sharing the trail with mountain bikers do not wear your headphones!

Beware when you're camping off season. I booked my site online the night before. However this site was occupied when I arrived. I let them know this is the site I had booked for two nights. They seemed disinterested in moving and there were no rangers on duty I had to choose another site not the end of the world. But definitely something to be aware of when camping during the off season.
The park had some great sites and the best pit toilets, they were so clean. The hand pump for the water was a plus and worked with ease. This is a great park for a quick trip.
Restrooms: Clean pit toilets.
Dog-friendliness: Most everyone was following the 6ft leash rule.

I really love this state park! There is so much to do outdoors here! Clean camping sites with fire pits to relax and cook, an 18 hole disc golf course, miles and miles of The Dragon bike trail (that remains super well maintained), a giant lake to swim and boat, and more!
Highly recommend and only about an hour or so from the Grand rapids area.
Playground: I did see some playground areas in the campground.
Restrooms: On site large out house style bathrooms.
Dog-friendliness: I've seen lots of folks with dogs.
That said, PLEASE LEAVE BARKING DOGS AT HOME!!! The state parks are a place to relax and both times there were dogs barking at all hours of the night.
Picnic area: The whole place is "naturey" being that it's a state park with lots of places to picnic however. there are also benches by the overlook to the water that made for a lovely sunrise breakfast!!
