Wow I believe this is the first time I've ever been bashed by a service person in all the years I've lived..I went in and asked to get my propane tank filledand Lacy at the front cashier did not know how to do it and ?so passed the job on to Melissa..only to hear her response it's dark out and we don't do it when it's dark..Bam..it was not dark out it was 6:50 and totally still light out..I explained to her that it was not dark out and I needed my tank filled because I ran out last night and froze...it was 42°she totally copped an attitude because I called her out that it wasn't dark out..Then she said I would have to wait till she finished a pizza order ..I then said ok..Lacy asked what size tank and rang me up.I went out to my car to get money only to walk back in and hear her loud and clear say if I don't want to fill a tank I don't have to...I then said to her...wow I just heard everything you just said..boy now that double busted her she did not like that..she told Lacy to credit me and told me I had an attitude and that she wasted going to fill it and come back tomorrow..if she didn't want to fill it to begin with then just tell the truth.Don't make up stuff and then turn it on the customer..I asked Lacy for her name..she said it was Melissa and I said thank Goodness for reviews..I was always taught to treat the customer with kindness..thats why your in the service business..I did nothing wrong..but ask for propane and got lied to and verbally bashed..Sorry Melissa..Karma is a good thing but bad Karma can be bad..you might want to look for another job of you can't treat customers with respect..like maybe sit at a computer all day..please take a class on customer respect..maybe you had a bad day everyone does..but I truly believe you just didn't want to do your job and fill the tank..I even offered to do it but you had a disrespectful mouth..??

We stop here whenever we are camping at the state park. It's convenient for ice. The morning we leave the campground we get coffee, good coffee. Not cheap but it's what you'd expect

Horrible place to work I was there for 3 weeks and tonight I was treated horrible by two of the managers I walk out they favorite there people and I wasn't one of them and workers also touch alot of food with no gloves and I never see them wash there hands the place needs too be shut done I'm so happy I left

I absolutely adore the staff here, they are really amazing people. I am ONLY giving the store a 2 star review because of how much they mark the groceries up. I just paid $5.29 for two sleeves of saltine crackers. I’ve had to run in for various items and every single time they have it marked up 3 times what you would pay at a grocery store. This has been an issue since before all of the product shortages going on. Their fountain drinks and coffee are the most expensive I have encountered from Big Rapids to Fremont. But the staff get 5 ⭐️ for being such friendly, helpful people who keep their store clean and well organized. They really are the best!

Alex doesn't own these anymore. BARLARNEY'S OWNS NOW.My issues are "cashier has Receipt " 90 percent of the time .Newest update: Now 4 ?, 3 times in a row without having to go inside to get recept, Do I dare make you my GO TO now? I only stop if I have too and buy bare minum instead of filling up. It's a gamble...but fair is fair your trying. Thanks Barlarney's and staff.For the most part you get what you give...employees have been friendly most of the time and other times maybe a bit of rudeness. People make a business not your marketing strategy when your rural.Employees are human and we're all allowed to have off days. We get that but Barlarney's maybe not so much..However we want to support locally businesses, unfortunately we remember bad services and it does effect us supporting them as much as we would if we didn't experience this so often. On average just with one customer your losing about 400.00 per month we spend eles where...as now you might get 40.00 a month at the pump...Old UPDATEworking on the pumps,,,got a receipt at pump..3 1/2 ? way to go!

Hit and miss for staff friendliness. Always under staffed. I just called to place an order and got the most blatant attitude I've ever had from a customer service person. I said nevermind and hung up.

The lady w glasses working at 3 pm today shouldb fired. She treated my veteran friend like he didn't exist when he spoke to her.. Alec knowshim well. Have some respect for our elders. She ripped us off 2 days in a row. We bought 2 coffees and 2 doughnuts. She never gave us the sale price. She continued to treat us this way for 2 days.
