I have been going to A Cut Above for many years. I had long hair when I started and when I decided to go short Lori created a short hairstyle for me that I love. I’m there every 5 weeks. A wonderful group of women who are truly dedicated to making you look good. I am very grateful to have this excellent salon in New Buffalo.

Scheduled an appointment I had to wait a week for.. got called early the morning of my appointment to asked if I could wait until half an hour later I said sure.. got called 10 minutes later to see if I could do tomorrow, I’m busy the rest of the week… don’t go here if you have a strict schedule they won’t cut your hair..

They squeezed me in, but they really "squeezed" me in. Originally gave a 3 stars, but seeing the shabbyness of the cut makes me give a 1. She didn't hear what color I wanted and when I saw the dried result I was a bit let down, and then she added curl gel before I could even see What she was adding to me hair. It wasn't a huge problem bc I could wash it out but it made my hair look greasy and it hid the very bad hair cut she gave. The woman asked if I wanted to tip in FRONT of the hair stylist. Def not coming here again, sorry.

Worst cut of my life. After repeatedly telling her that I had curly hair in the back when layered she cut very short layers. BOBS DO NOT HAVE TO BE LAYERED. It will take a year to grow out. When she reialized ter mistake, the operator next to her came over and cut it shorter... adding insult to injury. AVOID LIKE THEPLAGUE.

I moved to the area last year and tried a couple different stylists around NB and eventually went back to someone in IL. But that wasn’t a longtime solution. So I took someone’s reco and tried out “A Cut Above.” This was my first experience with Toni at “A Cut Above,” and I am hooked. She was fabulous. Toni nailed my cut and color on my very first visit.
