I called my insurance company due to a crack in my windshield and this is one of the companies they recommend. They scheduled my appointment for 2/21/2024 between the hours of 12:00-5:00. I received a text at 2:07pm saying "Justin your technician is starting your car". I went to the window to see if he was out there and to my surprise No One! I waited about 20 minutes and I called the number that the tech messaged me from, I called twice and no answer, I left a message letting him know that there is no work being done on my car. So around 3:40 someone from the main office called and asked if the tech came and I told them No! He said well I will call to see where he is. He called back saying the tech said "my phone was going straight to voicemail". I told him, I don't care he still should have showed up and I called him twice after that text message and he did not answer. The guy from the main office said "I spoke with the tech and he will be there right at 5:00 Well surprise, surprise they still have not shown up, so I called the main office and NO ANSWER, according to the online information they were closed! I called the 1800 number and told them even if he is planning to come cancel it and I don't want there services any longer. Wasted my entire day!

Cheap glass. Started chipping within a week and have 3 stress cracks. Won't even warranty it because they know how crappy their glass is

I just wasted two weeks trying to get a windshield replaced by Safelite; for a company that specializes in replacing windshields, the incompetence I experienced is astounding. Last week they sent a technician to my house with the wrong windshield. He said my car had a camera and the windshield he brought was for a car without camera. I asked him why they did not confirm what I had before he came out and he just replied, "these things happen." He further told me that he would not be able to change the windshield at my house because it needed to be done at their facility so that they could calibrate the camera. I made an appointment for this morning to have the windshield replaced at their shop and upon arrival was told that they could not complete the job because only a dealer could calibrate the camera.

Normally in the past I haven’t had issues, but recently I’ve had my windshield replaced 3 times due to defects in the windshield, on top of it they put a dent in the hood and chipped my rear view mirror. It’s a battle to get ahold of a manager to fix the issue and the work is very sloppy. I got a number from the previous installer for the manager, I’ve called multiple times with no answer, Andrew is his name. Very disappointed to the point I’ve now have reached out to my insurance representative to take care of the situation. Will definitely not use them again

I was going to take my Chevy Tahoe elsewhere due to the high price at Safelite and cancelled the appointment. I was contacted by Safelite with a discount code and payment options so I rescheduled. Before I arrived I received a text message to let me know that it would be $40 additional for the windshield wipers. I went to the appointment anyway but after being promised to have my mirror glass replaced also that they weren't going to do that time and I'd have to pay for a second appointment. I should have stuck with Arnold's glass as I always have.

This company absolutely refuses to talk to customers on the phone. They had me running in circles pulling my hair out on their automated phone system. It was impossible to get a live agent. If I am not worth their time to talk to, they are not worth getting my business. Use a different company!

Manager Justin is amazing! Beyond helpful when I know absolutely nothing about cars or windshields. Turns out the chip in my windshield cracked through both panes, explaining the leak. He was timely, kind, and a great communicator. Tech Doug did a great job replacing my windshield, was on time and super friendly!

Claim through Progressive insurance for broken rear window Jeep Wrangler. 3 emails from Safelite instructing and reminding me of appointment Tuesday morning. I called 1 hour before leaving to make sure they were ready and to get directions. The facility was approx. 12 miles from my home. Was told they were ready for my appointment. I drove there and upon arriving - on time, The manager apologized and said they did NOT get the glass in to do the job. Then he told me they couldn’t get the window and “If we can’t get it no one can as we are the largest consumer of window glass in the country. It is impossible to get hold of Safelites Customer Service with the number they provide so I went back to Progressive. They had Arnold’s Autoglass in Muskegon on the line and Arnold’s had the glass the next day installed. Safelite has concluded my claim number and Progressive suspects they may have been charged for the work that was never performed by Safelite. (Can -O- worms situation)
