Update: !!3000 into repairs and still have a POS VEHICLE!!!! chip there is two sides to the story, and yours is NOT the truth! I have the messages and the proof!! And seeing another buyer seems to have had some of the same issues, only proves!
I Have tried to take care of this issue with Ernie's "privately" without publicly outing or bashing, but unfortunately without resolution. I bought a 2012 jeep w/ dealership warranty from Ernie's on February 22nd the next day the jeep was having issues with a long crank and not wanting to start, was blowing smoke and had a leak. They ran a diagnosis, that said 02 sensor, speed sensor and low battery on remote start. They had me drop the jeep off and they fixed the codes ( and deleted them) they diagnosed the smoke as burning oil and changed out PVC valve. I text him to let him know the issues still had not been taken care of and would like to bring it to a shop to have it worked on. The shop could not diagnose either as they had cleared all codes, so they ultimately changed out the plugs and wires hoping it would resolve some issues. Ernie's did pay for the plugs and wires to be replaced but it did not take care of the issue. At that point I had asked for a refund, but he told me a new crank sensor would take care of the issue so he replaced it with a new sensor that he bought from the auto parts store, which only made the issue worse. He then told me that he "knew it would make it worse" and that he would order the factory sensor. I messaged him daily as he left me in a vehicle that would stall out while driving, I asked him if he had a loaner because I did not feel safe in the jeep, he told me he could not give me a loaner vehicle. He told me he didn't have a date for when the sensor would be there and he told me there was no invoice. I gave Ernie's until Friday and then I reached out to thee BBB to get a resolution.. wasn't shortly after my report to the BBB Ernie sent me a message the sensor was in. I brought the jeep back to Ernie's for the sensor( and low and behold an invoice with a printed date of March 4th) and also let him know I brought the jeep into the shop to have the transmission fluid checked and they told me fluid was BlACK to which his response was " transmission fluid in these jeeps are black, and after you have it changed watch it will be black again." After he put the sensor on I drove down the road to make sure it wasn't going to stall out, I drove back to Ernie's and he told me looks like took care of the problem, his statement was "wasn't a miserable experience but i hope to god i never have to see you again." Which I believe to anyone that meant he didn't care what happened next, so I have been communicating through the BBB which he has yet to respond anymore. I brought the jeep in for a flush which they could not do at first until the transmission line was fixed as it was rusted and leaking. The repairs and flush were just shy of 800$. I have a misfire on start up and still an inconsistent start with smoke billowing from exhaust. At this point after multiple mentions of a refund, text messages from chip telling me he will not leave me "stuck" I have no other option, if communication through the BBB does not have a resolution I will begin next steps. I was NEVER a rude customer and ultimately believed that I would not be left in a car that had issues beyond the normal wear and tear. I have given him more than 3 chances to fix the vehicle as he promised he would. But ultimately he has left me stuck in a vehicle that can't be diagnosed correctly, because of the cleared codes and resets he did. The one and only response to the BBB was after he did the crank sensor he responded back with a statement that vehicle was fine and working and that the issues had been taken care of, and that the vehicle was not smoking anymore. Which is 100% untrue!

Honest, friendly, fast service. Good deal on a great vehicle. Very happy with my purchase! Thanks Chip!!
Update... car needed 776 worth of work less than 24 hrs after purchase. Contacted Chip the owner. After receiving the run around for 3 weeks, he said he pay for 300 of it. Cool. Another 3 weeks go by and nothing. Contact Chip again. He apologized and said he had shoulder surgery but he would get me a check in the mail. It's now another 2 weeks later and still nothing. I have screenshot of everything. I even voice recorded our entire sale. I think I've been patient long enough. Time to lawyer up!
Update 6.18.24..
I did finally receive the funds last week, thank you. Car is still in the shop as now its been overheating.

Since I can’t reply back, I’ll just make another review ??♀️ obviously I’m not a customer, I will NEVER be.. & I’ll make sure all my friends and family stay clear too.. you say I wasn’t there & I only got her side which you claim to be not the truth, how is it not the truth when i literally watched her struggle to get the vehicle YOU sold her started for 15 minutes!! Not even a week after purchasing it from you. You guys literally fix the vehicles up enough to make it 24 hours before all the problems start showing . Yall should be ashamed. ??♀️

I kind of think he tried to lowball me the price was $5,900 I tried to talk him down to like three grand to 5 grand the car has almost 150,000 on it and it's over 10 years old heck a car's not even worth that much if it has that many miles on it because you never know it could break down within days of buying

So my boyfriend and I stopped in to check out a car. While there this other couple was there. They were having car trouble with their vehicle. You would think the workers at Ernies would have offered assistance, especially after my boyfriend mentioned to one of them that the couple was having issues right? Well nope! We seen the gentleman who was using a cane to walk by the way trying to push thier car so we stopped and helped. Only then did the employees come out to see what was going on. Then one of them said well I thought you came back to look at the car again. I tell ya We would never buy a car from anyone that would not help someone if they could. Oh the couples car did finally start and we did make some new friends. Thats the only reason Ernies got 1 star.
