Brought my Honda Accord expecting the worst when I was experiencing shudder and rough shifting. They test drove and did diagnostics for free. They informed me a Fluid change would fix it, which it did. They could have ripped me off and told me I needed a rebuild. Instead, they were honest and completed service in a timely manner. My car now shifts better than ever!

Called for a quote for oil change and transmission fluid and filter, the lady that my husband talked to was trying to give us the run around about different things and then hung up on him, didn't even give us the information that we needed.

I called all over town looking for a valve body wiring harness for my 5R110W and had no luck. I called and spoke with Wendy and she went right to work locating one. Not only did she find one but she had it in her hands within a couple of hours. Some of the best customer service I've experienced anywhere, and I work in customer service myself. Thank you Wendy.

Had a torque converter shudder in my Honda Pilot. Went to Bud and Ray's and they drove it, then said it needed a new torque converter and a control valve replaced inside the transmission. Quoted me $2600-3500 and said it would be two weeks before they could get it in. I called Tri-cities Transmission in Spring Lake to see if they could get it in sooner, and after telling them the issue it was having they immediately asked about the transmission fluid. He suggested that a fluid change might be all it needed and would be significantly cheaper. I took it there and they replaced the transmission fluid and tested it out. Completely fixed the issue for $306, when I would have shelled out 10x that for an unnecessary fix at Bud and Ray's (who never even mentioned changing the transmission fluid). The staff was friendly, but I will definitely not recommend them after that experience.

I highly recommend bud and rays. I spent seven months dealing with the Chrysler dealership trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. After dropping over $1,500 on my vehicle, and not having it fixed, and them telling me to take it somewhere else because they don't want to deal with it and don't have the time I brought it to Bud and Ray's. I did have to bring my car back once or twice before they discovered that a mouse had chewed through my wiring and got stuck causing complete mayhem on my car. They made sure to send me pictures and kept me in the loop. At one point I was able to even speak with the technician myself regarding the issues. Transmission and electrical issues can be tricky, however I will not take my vehicle anywhere else but here from now on. It's hard to know who you can trust but I do feel like they are honest and do good work.Services: Transmission

Brought my truck in for work. Assured me it would be done that day. Texted me later to inform of another issue but couldn't get the part. Understandable but say that it might not be done, that day and when they haven't even looked the vehicle over.Took it in on the next available appointment. I was told parts were in and they'd start right in the morning and assured me it would be done my mid afternoon. Not done. No vehicle. No excuses besides they started on it late. Don't tell customers you'll have it done and not have it done at the time given. Especially now by appointment only. Now struggling to find a ride to pick it up. Made the appointment and arrangements to pick it up. Going off trusting what they say. Shame on me for believing that.Bummed since I've heard nothing but good things about Bud & Rays and why I brought it there.Service: Transmission

I just went so they could take a test drive of my car that's having some transmission issues since right after I bought it. I have a warranty i purchased on the drivetrain and of course it has to be able to be documented so with it it not doing it on the test drive he said wait till it's doing it on a more regular basis or goes out completely.

Originally I took my car to Firestone (who, for what it's worth, have always been great to work with as well) for a rattle and they thought it was something to do with my differential (which they don't do work on) so they referred me out to Bud & Ray's for them to have a look at it. It took a little while for me to get in (about 2 weeks) but I was really impressed with the service. Everyone was super friendly and I was able to talk to the technician who looked at my car directly. They ended up determining that I didn't need any work done and the rattle was just a loose heat shield and only charged me $25 and sent me on my way. I'd highly recommend them if you need transmission work - and - given the wait time and the fact the lot was absolutely packed when I dropped the car off I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels that way. I really appreciated the honesty and the ease of communication (texting!). 10/10.

Not sure where to start, but will keep it brief. The work, price, communication is the best I have ever had in all the years I have had a vehicle. I live 30+ miles away, and will do all I can to get my truck to them when I need work done. Their integrity sold me for good.
