Took my 17 Chevy 2500 for a transmission rebuild they told me it would take about 4/5 days. Picked it up a week later and returned the truck because the transmission wasn’t working properly 2 weeks later they say it was ready I picked it up and returned it for the same issues. Finally 9 weeks after I originally dropped it off and $7000.00 later they call and say the transmission is working as it should but now it has a terrible miss and wants to charge me to diagnose it. I feel like they should’ve diagnosed it for free since they had it for 9 weeks and it wasn’t missing when I brought it there. They refused to diagnose it for free so I picked it up and as I was driving to betten I noticed that the transmission is still not working properly. I will be taking them to court for the transmission that they failed to get fixed for 9 weeks. I wouldn’t bring any of my vehicles back to them. Poor customer service and a rude owner. I do not recommend joes service and bud and ray’s transmission

Walked right in very welcoming and instantly got a diagnosis and an appointment right away. They are really great and they go above and beyond for the customers. I’m really fast I responding. If I refer anyone there, I would’ve hundred percent refer anyone that I know to this place

A total mess the entire 7 weeks they had my car with little to no communication and constant lies and runarounds. When I finally got to pick it up the owner and office manager both screamed in my face calling me a liar and threatening to call the cops on me when I brought an issue to their attention. Now they blow my phone up days later and expect us to drop everything and return to sign papers they failed to have us sign when we picked the car up
Edit to add : communication was fine at first but after the first week and a half or so, we had to reach out for updates or we didn’t get them- that’s not how this should go, especially when i was told this would take a few days and it ended up taking 7 weeks. i would have understood if issues with the warranty arose, but why weren’t we notified along the way? That is news to me.
they blatantly lied about not having the key for my locking lug nuts & charged a ridiculous amount to remove them after we told them where the key was. They made it sound like this was the last thing to be done to my car & that i could get it after they finished this and i just wanted my car back at this point (probably 4 weeks in at this point) so I okay’d the charge to remove them after they claimed they looked everywhere for the key- i was at work with no car and no way to drive there and show them it was right in my glove box. Little did i know it would be several more weeks still until my car was done anyways- so it could have waited for me to find transportation to show them where the key was. When i picked my car up, the entire contents of my glove box were in a cardboard box in my back seat, including the locking lug nut key right on top - which i paid almost $300 for them to remove. I tried calmly bringing this up to the office manager who immediately started screaming at me & told me they weren’t talking about my car with me- only my boyfriend. She then disappeared and the owner came out calling me a liar and threatening to call the cops on me. He told me their service tech said I was lying and that they would for no reason put the contents of my glove box in a cardboard box. I went and grabbed the cardboard box and the girls at the front desk immediately knew it was their box (it was a box from printer ink they had ordered) while the owner still continued to call me a liar. To say several conversations with me went poorly is completely untrue because we were extremely cordial when reaching out for updates after going days without any communication on your end.
As far as the signature that you failed to ask for when I picked the car up goes- that’s on you. You chose to scream at me, threaten me, and call me a liar rather than have me provide the signatures you needed. i work an 8-5 job. I’m not dropping everything & missing work to go sign your papers the moment you text my boyfriend because you failed to have me do so when i picked my car up after having it for 7 weeks. You could have sent the link so I could sign it electronically in the first place after all of the hassle you put us through but instead you chose to threaten me yet again because I wasn’t able to leave work to come physically sign it before finally sending the link for me to electronically sign.

Brought my Honda Accord expecting the worst when I was experiencing shudder and rough shifting. They test drove and did diagnostics for free. They informed me a Fluid change would fix it, which it did. They could have ripped me off and told me I needed a rebuild. Instead, they were honest and completed service in a timely manner. My car now shifts better than ever!

Called for a quote for oil change and transmission fluid and filter, the lady that my husband talked to was trying to give us the run around about different things and then hung up on him, didn't even give us the information that we needed.

I called all over town looking for a valve body wiring harness for my 5R110W and had no luck. I called and spoke with Wendy and she went right to work locating one. Not only did she find one but she had it in her hands within a couple of hours. Some of the best customer service I've experienced anywhere, and I work in customer service myself. Thank you Wendy.

Had a torque converter shudder in my Honda Pilot. Went to Bud and Ray's and they drove it, then said it needed a new torque converter and a control valve replaced inside the transmission. Quoted me $2600-3500 and said it would be two weeks before they could get it in. I called Tri-cities Transmission in Spring Lake to see if they could get it in sooner, and after telling them the issue it was having they immediately asked about the transmission fluid. He suggested that a fluid change might be all it needed and would be significantly cheaper. I took it there and they replaced the transmission fluid and tested it out. Completely fixed the issue for $306, when I would have shelled out 10x that for an unnecessary fix at Bud and Ray's (who never even mentioned changing the transmission fluid). The staff was friendly, but I will definitely not recommend them after that experience.

I highly recommend bud and rays. I spent seven months dealing with the Chrysler dealership trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. After dropping over $1,500 on my vehicle, and not having it fixed, and them telling me to take it somewhere else because they don't want to deal with it and don't have the time I brought it to Bud and Ray's. I did have to bring my car back once or twice before they discovered that a mouse had chewed through my wiring and got stuck causing complete mayhem on my car. They made sure to send me pictures and kept me in the loop. At one point I was able to even speak with the technician myself regarding the issues. Transmission and electrical issues can be tricky, however I will not take my vehicle anywhere else but here from now on. It's hard to know who you can trust but I do feel like they are honest and do good work.Services: Transmission

Brought my truck in for work. Assured me it would be done that day. Texted me later to inform of another issue but couldn't get the part. Understandable but say that it might not be done, that day and when they haven't even looked the vehicle over.Took it in on the next available appointment. I was told parts were in and they'd start right in the morning and assured me it would be done my mid afternoon. Not done. No vehicle. No excuses besides they started on it late. Don't tell customers you'll have it done and not have it done at the time given. Especially now by appointment only. Now struggling to find a ride to pick it up. Made the appointment and arrangements to pick it up. Going off trusting what they say. Shame on me for believing that.Bummed since I've heard nothing but good things about Bud & Rays and why I brought it there.Service: Transmission

I just went so they could take a test drive of my car that's having some transmission issues since right after I bought it. I have a warranty i purchased on the drivetrain and of course it has to be able to be documented so with it it not doing it on the test drive he said wait till it's doing it on a more regular basis or goes out completely.

Originally I took my car to Firestone (who, for what it's worth, have always been great to work with as well) for a rattle and they thought it was something to do with my differential (which they don't do work on) so they referred me out to Bud & Ray's for them to have a look at it. It took a little while for me to get in (about 2 weeks) but I was really impressed with the service. Everyone was super friendly and I was able to talk to the technician who looked at my car directly. They ended up determining that I didn't need any work done and the rattle was just a loose heat shield and only charged me $25 and sent me on my way. I'd highly recommend them if you need transmission work - and - given the wait time and the fact the lot was absolutely packed when I dropped the car off I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels that way. I really appreciated the honesty and the ease of communication (texting!). 10/10.

Not sure where to start, but will keep it brief. The work, price, communication is the best I have ever had in all the years I have had a vehicle. I live 30+ miles away, and will do all I can to get my truck to them when I need work done. Their integrity sold me for good.
