About Munising Tourist Park Campground
Munising Tourist Park Campground is a popular spot for those wanting to enjoy Lake Superior. The campground is right on the lake, with a sandy beach that runs along its length, offering direct access to the water. This makes it a great place for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. There are a variety of sites, including full hookups and water/electric options, some with 50 amp power. The sites are generally level with dirt pads and grass around them. Visitors often choose the Overflow Area, which provides water and electric but no sewer. The campground is big rig friendly and features clean toilets, showers, and a nice dump site. It is located next to a 55 mph highway, so there is some road noise, mostly tire noise that lessens at night. Cell service is good with Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T, although Wi-Fi is available but not tested. To secure a good campsite, especially one on the lake, early booking is recommended, especially outside peak season. Nearby attractions include Pictured Rocks, water falls, boat tours, and great dining options. The staff is knowledgeable, and public transportation is available for a small fee, making it a convenient and enjoyable camping experience.

Stunning unobstructed view of Lake Superior from our camper. The park is well run, restrooms are clean, nice large campsites. If we’re ever up in that area again, we will camp with them.

This campground is right on the shore of Lake Superior. It doesn't get much better! The staff is very nice and friendly.
